I should have consulted with my psychic before posting this.

The anti-nuclear movement is up there as one of the most destructive of all-time. The triumph of emotion over rationality, and we haven’t even started to truly pay the price.

Always hated the Alt Gr key (Growling Alt?) that exists on many European PC layouts and I’ll never touch one of these again. Macs dont have those. Medium engineering just fixed a Polish bug caused by them. https://t.co/LKNn3OcKb9

Another favorite mispronunciation of French words in English. The “Coup de Grâce” without saying S which means the “FAT strike”. Or “niche” mispronounced with a T sound and is a German philosopher (“Nietzsche”)

@gruber @benthompson You’re trying to pronounce Denouement. The U is pronounced OO not U or Ü. You’re saying Dénuement (no O) which means to be NUDE or destitute. Pronounce the rest of the word as you wish, but U instead of OU/OO is super confusing to French speakers.

So we finally reached BS day. Let's add a man-made disaster so that 2021 can actually be worse than 2020.

Ask for more sovereignty, and lose NI and Gibraltar to the EU. Ask for less red tape and get more. Ask for free trade and stop the trade of services

Let’s Encrypt comes up with workaround for abandonware Android devices. 33% of active devices are 4 years old and unpatched 😲🤦‍♂️ https://t.co/cmJsdYmToZ

#terraform from @HashiCorp is so much nicer than messing with CloudFormation… and works on all clouds. Well done guys!

I wonder why @BBCNews is not covering the bloody war between Armenia and Azerbaijan… I know @realDonaldTrump tweets 24/7 but we could use a break sometimes.

I expected Google Play Store to be piece of cake compared to Apple. But NOOOOoo.

I have a release for internal testing stuck with a dead 404 link with no explanations for 24 hours. Rumor has it (stackoverflow) it may be due to IARC rating. Pretty shoddy work Google.

L’Allemagne a raison.

@Recode #reset #y2k I’d like to save memory so I’m going to use 16 bits to store 2 ASCII printable digits? What a saving! You can go up to year 65536 with that much! 0 to 100 can be done on 8bits or even 7bits. Why is COBOL so WASTEFUL with memory?! One day I’d like to know…

Day of shame. The UK is now a colony of the EU: it follows every EU law but has the power to shape none. A sign of things to come! The country is firmly in the hands of a corrupt elite that hesitates not to lie and enact downgrading policies, all in pursuit of their own benefit.

@daringfireball About TalkShow273. If you hash your password doing SHA-256(pw) it is AS BAD as storing your password in cleartext. You need a SALT and a SLOW hash algo like PBKDF2, scrypt or argon. And even if you do all that, if your password is WEAK, it still can be reversed.
