sad to hear of the passing of Sir John Gurdon. I had the opportunity to meet him in 2014 in Warsaw and talk with him about my research, and in 2024 I had tge honor of being a visiting Researcher in his Gurdon Institute. Condoleances to his family and loved ones.
6th BIO Life Science Congress (Sept 16–20, Poznań) has just concluded❗️ Organized by the Polish Biochemical Society @PTBiochemiczne & @ICHBPAN, brought together scientists & biotech, fostering collaboration and showcasing cutting-edge research #BIO2025

Grateful for the chance to present our unpublished work from the @michal_gdula lab @UAM_IBMiB on lamina-associated domains (#LAD) & 3D genome architecture in epidermal barrier formation at #Bio2025. Inspiring talks, exciting science, and great to reconnect with colleagues!
First day at my new job! I'm excited to join the @ICHBPAN as postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Molecular and Systems Biology. Looking forward to this next chapter in science! 🧬🔬
Today is the last day to register for the Polish RNA Biology Meeting in Poznań! Don’t miss out on an exciting four-day feast of RNA research with an incredible lineup of keynote speakers! #RNABiology#Conference!
1/ Pleased to share our review, published today @NatRevImmunol, highlighting how biomolecular condensates enhance the precision and flexibility of gene regulatory networks that guide fate decisions during normal and pathological immune cell development. https://t.co/uBEoxEPuKH
Our first 2025 paper!
We discuss in @NatRevMCB how epithelial stem cells mechanically sculpt tissues, and how these forces are altered in cancer.
Great work from our former and current tumor mechanobiology experts Vince Fiore & @almagro_jorge

Join us on Friday @UAM_IBMiB seminar for the talk of Paulina Jackowiak, Head of Single Cell Analyses Lab @ICHBPAN to hear about regulatory #RNAs in #planarians!
In this paper I had the opportunity to contribute to, we established a fused #HD dorsal-ventral system, imitating the cortex and striatum interaction in a single #organoid to discover #neurodevelopmental impairments at the level of cell populations.
congratulations to all the other co-authors on the paper on #neurodevelopmental organization of the cell populations of juvenile #huntington which has been published in @eLife

📢 Dr. @bartkrist from the Faculty of Biology at @UAM_Poznan, working in the @michal_gdula lab at @UAM_IBMiB, has secured funding for his research under competition no. 140: "50 x 50: Fifty Grants for 50 Young Scientists" (ID UB AMU!).
🧑🏻🔬 Dr. Krist will carry out a grant entitled "Role of the epigenetics in control of mouse periderm development."
🐀The periderm, the outermost layer of skin that prevents tissue adhesion in embryos, is poorly understood. This project will investigate gene activity and chromatin changes in periderm cells to uncover their development mechanisms and links to severe congenital defects.
happy to announce that I have been awarded a "50x50: fifty grants for fifty young scientists" grant of the #IDUB initiative, which will allow me to investigate and gather preliminary data on the #epigenetic regulation of #periderm development! @UAM_IBMiB@UAM_Poznan@czt_uam
How are promoter interactions coordinated during cell differentiation? In our first paper, we investigate the temporal relationship between genome folding, transcription and histone modifications during ESC differentiation. (1)
Join our team at IMol!
Group led by Dr. Maciej Cieśla is looking for postdoctoral researcher to understand how spliceosome controls fate decisions in stem cells!
