Hello world. We're here to help you lose less while still enjoying everything bartop video poker has to offer. We also hope to drive business to casinos that offer players a good gamble.
@silvercharm2424@VitalVegas@HarrahsVegas@CaesarsEnt You didn't know that because it's 100% not true. New machines are *not* more volatile than old ones. It makes zero sense. The misconception seems to stem from a misunderstanding of what confidence intervals mean. 🤷
@VitalVegas@John_Mehaffey@HarrahsVegas@CaesarsEnt The first half of your Tweet is correct. The 2nd half is patently wrong. A machine's variance does not change with its play. If it did, the old coin based machines would have to be down to 0 variance now, no?
@VitalVegas@NedRyerson1957@HarrahsVegas@CaesarsEnt You're partially correct. A machine will, on average, be closer to its RTP after 2k hands as opposed to 1k. But that does *not* mean that the 1st 1k hands were higher variance than the 2nd. The higher variance group is equally likely to be either group.
@VitalVegas@NedRyerson1957@HarrahsVegas@CaesarsEnt So by your definition, if you hit quads one hand, a machine is loose, and then on the next hand if you don't win anything, the machine is then tight?
@VitalVegas@NedRyerson1957@HarrahsVegas@CaesarsEnt New machines are not more erratic than older machines. Can you cite where you got that piece of misinformation?
If you want to get nitty, machines with progressives will be a bit more "erratic" (higher variance) once they're no longer new, as the progressives grow beyond reset
@VitalVegas@NedRyerson1957@HarrahsVegas@CaesarsEnt No. A loose machine averages a higher payback than a tight machine. Machines are not loose/tight based on short-term luck. That would be referred to as hot/cold.
You ran hot on a tight machine. Also possible to run cold on a loose machine.
@DeeJay_1779 @legend034 The 7/5 version is 98.85%. Sometimes the 6/5 version is the best game on horrible 95-96% machines since that's the worst version, and it comes in at 97.78%.
@SkylarJameson1@rainbowclublv Yeah, the big strategy adjustments for DD...holding a single ace from AK, or just AA on an AAKKx deal, or AAA from AAA33 FH seem to be widely known and adhered to.
