@EricMGarcia@ryanbeckwith Long time NC political hack here. Harris wins NC because of an influx of young (under 40) voters and crossover of women voters in the suburbs.
@madrid_mike 2/ And density incursion into previously urban red areas.
A change towards the Democrats in these counties probably means that the election is over.
@madrid_mike I'll stick with NC because I have been on the ground here for a long time. Nash, Scotland, New Hannover are always picked because they are always close, but no other good reason. Watch Johnston (61.38% T v. 37.05% Biden) or Cabarrus (53.94 v. 44.50) for moderate female crossover.
@Redistrict@DKThomp First of all, NC changed the rules so early vote and mail can't be counted until after the polls close. So same day and EV will come in at about the same time in NC.
Johnston which is just south of Nash will be more indicative. 2020 Trump 61.38% to Biden 37.05%
@Tifdawg@HouseGOP As a strong Democrat I agree only American citizens should be able to vote. And guess what? Only citizens can vote. It is, and has been the law forever.
@EricMGarcia Cumberland and Onslow appear to be lagging in early vote / mail turnout compared to 2020.
Both, of course, have a large military presence.
Robeson is also lagging.
Unaffiliated voters will likely be in the lead at the end of Saturday early voting today.
