For anyone who would like to hear Mark Carney’s outstanding Davos speech in full here it is. This is what true global leadership looks like.
Canada should be immensely proud today, because they are leading the fight back when others dare not.

@FRovet@maddenifico are these the same “men” who like to watch oiled-up dudes rolling over each other and cheering for the spray tanned draft dodger who lost all his inhibitions?
Pete Hegseth is a fascist war-criminal overseeing the biggest destruction of US military equipment and bases since the Vietnam War
He’s an embarrassment and has no place lecturing anyone
Pete Hegseth's D-Day speech was a grotesque, ignorant, and idiotic desecration of the memory of every Allied soldier who stormed Normandy — nothing but pure American white supremacist stupidity.
To stand at the graves of young men who gave their lives fighting an actual Nazi invasion and then equate desperate migrants in rubber boats with the Third Reich is beyond disrespectful — it's morally bankrupt, historically illiterate garbage.
Those heroes liberated Europe from the same kind of fascistic tyranny the authoritarian Trump regime is promoting in America, not from immigrants seeking a better life. Weaponizing their sacrifice for cheap far-right anti-immigration rhetoric dishonors their graves and exposes Hegseth as a comic-book nobody utterly deaf to history.
Shame on him. Pure, self-important vulgarity.
the constant corruption, self-dealing & abuse is easy to spot!
About time people start calling it out and asking critical questions.
Hats off to @kwelkernbc for challenging Trumps lies, as the US media ecosystem has been a tremendous disappointment and have largely been derelict of their duties to hold leadership accountable
The world is getting tired of this man.
Not tired in the way you get tired of a bad TV show. Tired in the way you get tired of a dog that barks at nothing, bites the postman, and then rolls over completely flat the moment someone actually pushes back. Donald Trump, the self-proclaimed master of the deal, stormed off the set of Meet the Press this morning after NBC’s Kristen Welker had the extraordinary audacity to ask him questions. Factual ones. About his own policies.
He called her “darling,” ripped off his microphone, and left.
This is the man who dodged military service with a bone spur diagnosis so convenient it might as well have come with a receipt. The man who cannot name a single foreign leader he has genuinely stood up to. The man who goes absolutely feral at female journalists and folds like a deck chair the moment Putin, Xi, or a Supreme Leader in Tehran raises an eyebrow.
His war with Iran has been a catastrophe dressed up as a victory lap. He launched it. He had no plan for the day after. He bombed things, declared triumph, and then discovered that Iran still controls the Strait of Hormuz and has absolutely no intention of giving that up for free. Every deadline Trump has issued has dissolved. Every ultimatum has been quietly extended. Iran now sits on the most valuable leverage in the global economy and uses it like a cash register, adding new demands every week while the man in the White House responds with angry posts on a social media platform that fewer people use than a regional Ohio newspaper.
The last time anyone successfully negotiated a deal with Iran, it took two years, a team of the finest diplomats in the Western world, and a level of patience and precision that this administration could not locate with both hands and a map. That deal, the one Trump ripped up without apparently reading it, contained limits on uranium enrichment, inspector access, and a clear framework for walking things back. Was it perfect? No. Was it dramatically better than the current situation, in which Iran now holds the global economy by the throat ahead of the US midterms? Substantially. Embarrassingly. Obviously.
Iran is not begging for a deal. Iran is choosing between deals, slowly, while the clock runs in their favor.
Even MAGA is starting to notice. The base that cheered every bomb drop is now sitting at petrol stations and supermarket checkouts doing the maths on what this war has actually cost them. Inflation is back. Interest rates are moving. Supply chains are straining and the worst has not even arrived yet. Right now, markets are running on buffer stocks and spare capacity. The moment those warehouses empty, the real pain begins.
In the meantime, the President of the United States is storming off television sets because a journalist asked him to account for his own decisions.
The bone spurs are acting up again.

It’s not that difficult to call out the abuse, corruption & self-dealing this administration engages in around the world!
I wonder why not more people are doing this and demand a government OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people!

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇱 The Pentagon espionage bombshell just got worse...
New reporting confirms Israel has been eavesdropping on the American peace negotiators themselves.
The targets named: Steve Witkoff, Trump's top negotiator with Iran. Elbridge Colby, the Pentagon's policy chief.
And Michael DiMino, who runs Middle East policy.
Israel wasn't just collecting on America generally.
It was listening to the specific men writing the deal Netanyahu opposes.
What's wild is the documented incidents read like operations against an enemy state.
American defense personnel in Israel discovered spyware surreptitiously installed on their phones.
In 2021, Israeli military intelligence officers were caught planting listening devices at DIA headquarters.
Last year, Shin Bet officers were discovered trying to bug a Secret Service vehicle.
A SECRET SERVICE VEHICLE.
One senior official described the Israeli collection effort against top U.S. officials as "unhinged."
And the rating in context: Israel's counterintelligence threat level is now higher than any other American ally and EVEN HIGHER than some adversaries.
Notice who got targeted.
Colby is the most prominent advocate of foreign policy restraint in the government.
DiMino runs Mideast policy. Witkoff writes the deal.
Israel's espionage maps perfectly onto the people standing between Netanyahu and the war he wants to continue. They bugged the peace.
All of this while Israeli officers sit inside CENTCOM with unprecedented access, while Congress moves Section 224 to link the two militaries' systems and data permanently, and while Huckabee negotiates the framework.
The Pentagon says the ally is spying at a critical level.
Washington's answer is to hand them the keys to the network. Please make it make sense...

Sometimes I feel like this man hates planet Earth. The trump administration just auctioned off 689,000 acres of Alaska's gorgeous Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas companies, and the result was almost darkly comic: only two bidders showed up, the industry's biggest players ignored it entirely, and the whole fire sale netted a whopping $3.7 million, per Alaska Public Media. It is the third attempt at this, and the 2025 sale drew literally zero bids. Even the blood sucking fossil fuel industry doesn’t want to destroy this land for profit and keeps sending back the rejection notice, and the administration keeps pretending it did not get it.
But do not let the weak turnout distract from what is actually happening here. This is one move in a relentless, grinding assault on the natural world. Since January 2025, according to the Sierra Club, the National Park Service has lost over 2,700 staff, the Fish and Wildlife Service shed nearly 1,800 employees, and the EPA lost 2,000 workers. The Clean Air Act has been gutted. The Clean Water Act weakened. The U.S. pulled out of the Paris climate agreement on day one. The NRDC has been tracking what amounts to roughly one harmful environmental action every single day since trump took office. This man would literally pave paradise and put up a parking lot for a shiny nickel. So gross.
Meanwhile the Gwich'in people, whose culture and survival are tied to the Porcupine Caribou herd that calves on this very coastal plain, are still fighting. Some places, they say, are too important to sacrifice. That should not be a radical position. And yet here we are, watching an administration that calls climate change a con job try to pry open one of the last truly wild places left in America, not because the market wants it, but seemingly out of spite.
@Microinteracti1 Wat criminal “Paranoia Pete” is an embarrassment to his office and should focus on the quagmire he got himself into and the humiliation he brought onto his troops
BREAKING: #EvictTheTrumps is going viral worldwide with more countries planning protests like the recent Albanian riot to force their governments to revoke all licenses, permits, and other ties with the Trump family's businesses and real estate holdings.
‼️🛑I honestly hate to say it, but Thomas Massie is literally putting his life on the line. And I actually believe he knows this quite well.
It makes his stance even more heroic.
His decision to commemorate the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty on its 59th Anniversary, after having been defeated by Jewish money in Congress, is the single most courageous move I have ever seen a sitting American politician make during my lifetime.
It's a stuck up middle finger against 'Israel' and all it stands for, for the following reasons:
💥 the deliberate murder of American servicemen in plain sight by the Israeli air force is solidly proven, which means that the Ziønist influencers have zero arguments to present to counter it;
💥 he is doing it without this being in any way 'necessary', or 'called for', as 58 anniversaries have already passed unnoticed and unmentioned;
💥 he will have actual survivors from the attack present, which is a feature one can thing bring nothing up against;
💥 the effect of this act of insurgency is bound to create powerful ripples on social media, even if mass media try to ignore or downplay it.
Many liberals on the Democrat side will remain silent. Most of those are on the 'has the right to exist and defend itself' boat anyway. Which, I should take another opportunity to say, is utterly fucked up anyway.
Some of them will nevertheless get a powerful wake-up call, and realize that standing up against oppression takes precedence and priority over ideological differences in this time frame.
The main effect however, will take place on the Republican side. For most Republicans, the army is sacrosanct. Many of them have never heard of the USS Liberty tragedy. Many will truly be shaken to the core.
All I can do is pray for Thomas Massie.
And here is what I would say to him if I could see him face to face: "Massie, this is the courageous act of a real man, a true patriot, and a genuine revolutionary. You are a Lion among men. May God be with you."
@magyarpeterMP and the people of Hungary 🇭🇺 showed how even the most corrupt oligarchs can be defeated.
The people of Albania 🇦🇱 collectively protested, chanting “Albania is not for sale”
Up to 7 million americans 🇺🇸 protested in all 50 states against tyranny, autocracy and destruction of the rule of law in 3 seperate “No Kings Protests”
People around the world are sick and tired of the richest 1% hoarding >50% of the wealth and serving only themselves
Remember in November!
Albania has officially drawn the
line, Sazan 'lsland is being cleared. In an stunning turn of events, Albanian authorities have
launched an active enforcement operation to kick
out foreign developers and private security
personnel occupying Sazan Island. The decisive
action marks a total collapse of the controversial €1.4 billion luxury real estate deal that aimed to turn the protected national marine reserve and
former military base into an exclusive private playground for global elites,
The eviction comes after four consecutive weeks of historic
hundred-thousand-strong protests that completely
shut down the capital city of Tirana, refusing to allow their native coastlines and ecologically sensitive wetlands to be privatized by foreign
investors, the Albanian public unified under a
single, unyielding demand: "Albania is not for sale, the courts faced with a historic political crisis, mounting
domestic fury, and a widening anti-corruption
investigation by special prosecutors (SPAK), the
government was forced to pivot, by deploying state forces to reclaim Sazan lsland, Albania has
sent a clear message to international billionaires
and foreign developers trying to bypass environmental protection laws, This historic victory for citizen-led activism proves that the collective voice of a nation can successfully overpower backroom corporate deals and protect sovereign land.
The people spoke, and the
government had to listen.

Donald Trump was president for each of these crashes!
Just reposting this here so there’s an indelible record when everyone later pretends they didn’t see it coming:
I told you so. This is a bad idea.
Handing privileged access to U.S. defense technology to a foreign government under the branding of “strategic partnership” is not America First, not fiscal responsibility, and not national security. It is exactly how foreign entanglements become permanent obligations — paid for by American taxpayers and justified after the fact by the same people who created the dependency.
Canada is doing everything Trump promised MAGA voters but failed to deliver
a stronger economy, Canada First, stronger global alliances that promote peace not war, aigning 20+ major trade deals, showing strong leadership and moral clarity while defending the rule of law, etc etc
Donald Trump does the polar opposite!

This is the dumbest tweet ever written by an American, an astonishing achievement given the depth of competition for that accolade.
It's hard to know where to even start.
I'll go from the top and try wade through it, to arrive at where the focus should already be. /1
Nr. 1
Kushner baut Hotels in Albanien. Kushner verhandelt Weltfrieden. Kushner kassiert Milliarden. Alles gleichzeitig.
Kushner baut Hotels in Albanien. Kushner verhandelt Weltfrieden. Kushner kassiert Milliarden. Alles gleichzeitig.
Vier Jahre. Nicht mehr. Also schnell schnell. Trump selbst – 3.700 Aktientransaktionen in drei Monaten.
Historisch:
Cornelius Vanderbilt – Eisenbahnmonopol, staatliche Subventionen, politische Verbindungen.
John D. Rockefeller – Standard Oil, politischer Einfluss, Staatsverträge.
Die Gilded Age Oligarchen des 19. Jahrhunderts.
Modern:
5 Milliarden angesammelt. Kein Finanzoffenlegungsformular. Keine Ethiksgesetze. Sogar republikanischer Kongressmann Comer sagte: „Was Kushner tat überschritt die ethische Grenze." Das System ließ es zu. Beide Male.
