@WFAFOOTBALL14 It’s about long term. Zubi as we know cannot hack a full season. Norgaard, Ø and Merino all out of contract within the next 2 seasons. All likely to depart either on a free or sold off. That leaves Rice, Zubi, MLS and Eze.

@199badman @mitchyharr Agreed. Although he’s exceptional at retaining the ball for us. There’s times (final vs City) we desperately needed him. That being said, it really isn’t often we don’t have the majority share of the ball. He’s a great asset when we need him, but at 275k for a few games? Hmm

@NealGardner_ The last time the USA hosted the WC there were only 3 teams from SAmerica that progressed from the group stage to the Ro16. Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. Brazil went on to win the tournament but Argentina & Mexico crashed out in the Ro16. Sweden came third place👀

Ball carrying, interceptions, cutting passing lines and tackling. Rice is exceptional at that. Watch a 90 minutes match, not highlights.

@THISISNOTKNT Anyone that tries to claim Rice isn’t worth the money because he doesn’t break lines with passes into the centre or doesn’t have link up play doesn’t understand the kind of player he is. Anderson is welcome to hold his hand in that department. Rice will do that rest

@THISISNOTKNT He’s a DM. He was a CB by trade. He doesn’t try to claim to be anything other than what he is. His best abilities are ball carrying, breaking passing lines, interceptions and tackling. He’s the best in the world at doing it and well worth the price tag. Cry more
