It's funny that you're surprised. Orthodox churches are ethno-nationalist. Unless you marry in it's going to be very difficult to be accepted.

Just return to the Church of your ancestors - the Catholic church. You're worried too much about small dogmatic differences that were ultimately fought over because of their political implications, or as a proxy for a straight up political difference.

Catholic means Universal. You do the work and you're in.
