Lindsey Graham and Donald Trump are having a mental breakdown over US allies not providing the help they claim they don't need, in a war of their choosing they claim to have won, after spending the past year threatening to invade several US allies. Cheers from Europe! Good Luck!
So turns out a bunch of those "Polymarket winner" videos weren't real, per some great reporting by the WSJ.
It was a fake website. Absolutely nuclear levels of fraud.
Tulsi Gabbard was apparently even more insane than anyone realised, which is somewhat of an achievement.
A resounding slow clap for all her dimwitted boosters, with a particularly dishonourable mention for @MeghanMcCain.
Trump is entering his King Lear phase, mouthing ever wilder threats that impress nobody because all can see he already threw away the elements of his former power.
NEW investigation for @WSJ:
- Polymarket is paying scores of offshore clippers to quietly promote its international exchange in the U.S. (though it’s banned from letting Americans trade on the platform)
- Polymarket made dummy websites mirroring its real site, then paid creators to use the fake site and pretend to win thousands.
- Creators altered headlines and used outdated footage to imply they won bets—even when they often lost
- Polymarket paid Adin Ross multiple millions to promote the site
All that and more in my latest story with @ByKLong@ceostroff@brenna__smith

While one source of extreme uncertainty (Iran) may be ending, a fresh one just came onto the scene (the Warsh-led Fed), and don’t forget about trade (Trump on Wed flirted with terminating USMCA, and his administration is working to return average tariff rates back to pre-SCOTUS levels by the end of the year).
Paying Iran not to launch missiles at Israel sure isn’t how something called “Epic Fury” was meant to end. That Iran hawks are now openly comparing Trump to Obama and warning that what’s coming is worse than the JCPOA tells you everything.
This is like how Trump called NAFTA “the worst Trade Deal ever made,” rebranded it as USMCA, and then called it “the best and most important trade deal ever made.”
This might be hard for Americans to hear, but the USA getting humiliated by its abject failure as a power during this Iran War might be the best thing possible at this time. The country needs to understand there are consequences for electing a crook.
The moral of the boy who cried wolf is that the boy’s dishonesty was deadly to him, not that people were wrong to disbelieve him. If anyone with a hard earned reputation for honesty alleged fraud, they’d deserve a hearing. At this point that excludes the entire Republican Party.
It’s all talk. Just withhold foreign aid to Israel for a month and they’ll stop bombing their neighbors - instant peace, the Strait of Hormuz can be opened, and gas drops $2 a gallon. Israel has been, and continues to be, the biggest welfare recipient from American tax payers.
