Atiku Abubakar is the answer for a better Nigeria 🇳🇬 — leadership, experience, and a vision for progress. Together, let’s build the future we deserve. #AA2027
Your excellency sir, @IsaAshiruKudan thank you for your services to Makarfi/Kudan constituency, Kaduna state and Nigeria, and congratulations in advance on the tasks ahead of you. May your wealth of knowledge, wisdom, experience and leadership benefit the good citizens of kaduna
At his Asokoro residence in Abuja today, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, GCON, was presented with a handwritten copy of the Holy Qur’an, meticulously crafted by Abdulgafar Bala Sale, the son of his Chief Imam.
Police officers reportedly raided the Ogbomoso home of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi's family on Monday.
His father was reportedly arrested, along with a family friend who was visiting the home.
Human rights lawyer Femi Falana publicly confirmed the incident. Omologo for you
This afternoon, Rt. Hon. Isah Ashiru Kudan paid a consultation visit to our leader, former Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
Together, we remain committed to a united, stronger, and more prosperous Kaduna. Victory is ahead!
Femi Gbajabiamila’s reported N10 billion defamation threat against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi has now moved this matter from social media allegations to a serious legal and public accountability test.
The Chief of Staff has denied the allegations of murder, bribery, corruption and abuse of office, describing them through his lawyers as false and defamatory. He is demanding retraction, public apology and removal of the publications within 72 hours.
That is his legal right.
But this development also raises a bigger civic question: when allegations touch one of the most powerful offices in the Presidency, should the only response be a defamation threat, or should there also be a transparent process that reassures the public?
Nobody should be convicted by social media.
Allegations are not proof.
Reputation matters.
Due process matters.
But public trust also matters.
In a country already dealing with daily corruption claims, unexplained spending concerns and deep economic hardship, Nigerians need institutions that respond with clarity, not only intimidation by legal letters.
If the allegations are false, let them be disproved clearly.
If they are defamatory, let the courts handle it.
But the public also deserves to see a system where powerful officials are not only defended, but openly accountable.
That is how confidence is rebuilt.
A ₦10 billion lawsuit may silence a publisher.
It may scare a critic.
It may protect a reputation.
But it cannot replace the need for transparency around high office.
The real test is simple:
Can power submit itself to scrutiny without appearing afraid of questions?
Because in a democracy, public office is not private property.
And when the office is as sensitive as Chief of Staff to the President, accountability should be louder than threats.
“Even if Isa Ashiru Kudan will also jail Bello El-Rufai and all Elrufais, we will still vote for him,” a man told me in Wuse 2
I was at a barbing salon in Wuse 2, Abuja, when the conversation turned to the controversial audio being pushed around Kaduna politics.
People were talking about the alleged attempt to use the audio to create suspicion between Mallam Nasir El-Rufai’s camp and Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan’s movement.
As usual, some people were already trying to make it look like a political earthquake.
But one man who introduced himself as Muhammad Zaraki from Makarfi LGA of Kaduna State, though based in Abuja, entered the conversation and completely changed the mood.
He listened quietly for a while.
Then he laughed.
Not the laughter of someone entertained, but the laughter of someone who could not believe how politically unserious some people have become.
His argument was simple.
He said the Kaduna State government and its propaganda handlers are behaving as if El-Rufaists are children who can be pushed into emotional panic with one suspicious audio.
According to him, the people pushing this audio do not love Mallam El-Rufai. They are not defending his honour. They are not protecting his political legacy. They are only trying to use his name to scatter an emerging political alignment they already fear.
That was when he dropped the line that stayed with me.
He said, “Even if Isa Ashiru Kudan is the one jailing all El-Rufais, we will still vote for him, because the man currently detaining Mallam is the one in power today.”
That sentence captured the whole mood.
In his view, the real issue is not some audio being circulated by desperate actors. The real issue is power, persecution, and the current political reality in Kaduna.
Mallam El-Rufai is facing his own challenges today under the present order. His supporters know who controls power. They know where the pressure is coming from. They know who benefits when El-Rufaists and Isa Ashiru’s supporters begin to fight each other.
So why should they abandon the bigger mission because of one audio that the Isa Ashiru campaign has already denied?
This is where the propaganda collapses.
Those pushing the audio are not interested in truth. They are interested in division.
They want El-Rufaists to become angry.
They want Isa Ashiru’s camp to become defensive.
They want ADC supporters to become confused.
They want the opposition in Kaduna to fight itself while the current government relaxes.
But Kaduna people are not fools.
Politics is not only emotion. Politics is calculation. Politics is interest. Politics is timing. Politics is knowing who your real opponent is.
And right now, many El-Rufaists understand that the current order in Kaduna is the real political problem.
Isa Ashiru Kudan has denied the audio. Until credible evidence proves otherwise, serious people should not allow propaganda merchants to define the relationship between him and Mallam’s political family.
Kaduna needs a broad coalition.
Mallam brings structure, data, reformist energy and a powerful political base.
Isa Ashiru brings grassroots depth, patience, name recognition and a wide acceptance across the state.
That combination is exactly what frightens the people pushing this drama.
They know that if El-Rufaists and Isa Ashiru’s supporters stay focused, something serious will happen in Kaduna.
That is why the audio came.
That is why the noise is loud.
That is why the propaganda is desperate.
But the message from Wuse 2 was clear: El-Rufaists are not losing focus.
The eyes remain on the ball.
Kaduna is watching.
