“I want to go to my mom,” three-year-old Maryam Ahmed Ghanem says from her hospital bed, pointing to her bandaged hand. Her grandfather explains what happened. Maryam and her mother lived in a single room inside an apartment in Gaza City, and at around 4am on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation struck that room.
Her mother, Reem, was killed, burned in front of her daughter. Maryam was pulled out alive with burns her grandfather says are second- and third-degree. Her father was killed early in the genocide, before she was even born, while she was still in her mother’s womb.
“She grew up in her mother’s arms,” he says. “What did she, her mother or all these children do wrong?” He says the bombing eased for a while after the ceasefire, but the Israeli occupation army still assassinates and bombs, the siege still holds, and prices are still out of reach. “So many children, so many women, so many people died for nothing.” Maryam has now lost both her parents before turning four.

Israeli settlers attacked residents of the village of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah, while they were picking olives, and set fire to several of the residents’ vehicles.
🚨 NOW: Settler terror attack on Abu Falah in the West Bank.
American journalist Heidi Levine was beaten by the settlers, many Palestinian were injured, one shot by the IDF.
The army allowed the settler attack, and tear gassed and assaulted the Palestinians.
Saleh used to cry as he reported the news, documenting scenes of bodies and wounded people under bombardment, carrying the pain and screams of the people to the world, hoping someone would listen and see what was happening in Gaza.
But the occupation killed Saleh, and the war has still not ended. The bombardment continues, blood continues to be shed, and journalists continue to pay with their lives for telling the truth.
Saleh is gone, but the tragedy he reported has not ended, and the war whose horrors he documented continues to claim more lives.
Her name is Mariam Ghanem. She is two and a half years old.
At 4 a.m. today, she watched her mother being consumed by flames following an Israeli strike.
Mariam miraculously survived the strike. Her father was slaughtered by Israel just a few months ago.
Latest photo showing Mariam’s face.
A reminder that Israel burned Mariam’s mother alive before her very eyes. Mariam miraculously survived the strike, but sustained injuries and burns.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society says Israel has detained more than 2,000 Palestinian children since October 2023, with 350 held in “harsh conditions” involving “intimidation and arrest”, “torture, starvation and denial of healthcare”.

Don’t forget Dr.Hossam Abu-Safeia!
He still suffers from severe exhaustion and heart issues in addition to severe injuries in his eyes, hands, and thigh due to the severe beating he was exposed to by the Israeli army.
Remember that his crime was only treating the wounds.
A Palestinian amputee was forced to give up his prosthetic leg when reentering Gaza, after receiving treatment in Egypt. He is among at least 6,000 amputees in Gaza whose daily lives have been affected by Israel’s bombardment.
There is no moral difference between putting people in gas chambers and burning children in homes in Gaza.
A holocaust is happening right before our eyes and the world is silent.
This is the hell on earth they call a “ceasefire”. Every single day, new bombings and new deaths, just a slower genocide. Imagine our news cycle if this was an Israeli child. May God comfort these children, and punish their oppressors. Ameen
Did the world not see this little girl burning in her apartment after occupation aircraft bombed it at dawn today—an attack that claimed her mother's life?
Is it because she is Palestinian!? There is no answer.
