There is a war within the Democratic party today.

On one side are people like me who have said for years that if Trump was re-elected this country would become an unimaginable hell. We were called alarmists, doomsayers. Now everyone knows we were 100% right.

On the other are Dems who repeatedly made false promises like Trump is going to jail, trust Merrick Garland's master plan, the Jan 6 committee will save everyone, Liz Cheney is an ally. They lied and mislead repeatedly and Dems stayed home as a result thinking, as in 2016, that Trump would not be elected. It's good to see Maddow and others finally say those people like that they thought were too extreme, and all doom and gloom, were actually right about everything.

But that war is still going in the Democratic party. Old Dems with old ideas are still trying to "fight" Trump in 2025 with 1995 ideas and tactics. It's why we are losing. And make no mistake we are losing terribly today with long term damage that will go on for many years after 2028. And where is a large portion of the Democratic party? Lost in the past with Jurassic leadership. If we do not change now, there will be nothing left. And I am sure you think that is an exaggeration, just like you thought Trump would never be elected and just like you believed Merrick Garland would save the world.
