@john_keim Glad we were in it. Disappointed we couldn’t get it over the line. Like that we had a backup option lined up. If they are prepared to spend like that want to see CB/S/WR get some help today.
@Gcarmi21 His job isn’t to try. It’s to improve the team. If he keeps coming in second it’s a damning indictment on either his experience or capabilities. Everyone is navigating the same market.
@JoshTaylorFB Not interested in the cope. Titans getting things over the line. Adapt and adjust. If they didn’t expect overpays (happens every year) they are incompetent.
@grantpaulsen Maybe, but we'll see where they actually spend the money. I'd rather overpay for a young and accomplished player than a not-so-young not accomplished CB from Detroit.
@JPFinlayNBCS Pain. We have so much cash. Pierce, Walker, Linderbaum, Phillips, etc. all off the board. A lot of time but it'll be a huge disappointment if we don't get one or two top tier FAs.
@JoshTaylorFB Prefer McDaniel but a win/win. Either he’s good and Washington doesn’t lose another great offensive coaching mind (yay) or he’s not and the DQ era is over and hopefully don’t get the HC hire wrong again (yay)
@MarkBullockNFL He should but McDaniel likely wouldn’t take DQ’s gig. Peters, for being a modern GM in a lot of ways, is stuck with a revolving offense system for a young qb by not hiring an offensive minded coach. He should pivot hard and own the mistake but doubt he’ll do it.
@JPFinlayNBCS Get it done. McDaniel has history here and with DQ. The chance to work with Daniels after Tua should be appealing. Fit for the scheme we want (Shanahan). A lifeline.
@Scott7news Do you know of a time when an OC didn’t accept a job they wanted because of who the OL coach was? Surely Daboll, a coach of his status, would effectively run the offensive side of the house and interview and retain (or not) current offensive staff.
