@OffBizHybrids@UmpireAuditor@JimVaughn_@lokationnation@MLB Modern fans have such an obsession with officiating perfection because they can’t grasp the nuances within sports. How do these fans explain the explosion of popularity for the game of baseball in the past, when this technology didn’t exist?
@OffBizHybrids@UmpireAuditor@JimVaughn_@lokationnation@MLB Maybe the rule book isn’t a perfect doctrine that should be followed to the fractional inch specifications that is promoted by automation supporters. Maybe nuance in baseball is part of what made it great in the first place.
@UmpireAuditor The Statcast info that you take as gospel measures from the very center of the plate. Not giving any margin for error whatsoever and stating "2.15 inches" as fact is flat out misleading.
@UmpireAuditor@nightnday87 With robo umps, don't you think catchers would change the way they set up to receive pitches with runners on base? With no reason to give an umpire a look, they'd adjust their stance to throw runners out, effectively eliminating the running game from baseball. No issue with that?
