NEW STELLENBOSCH CHANCELLOR
Lesetja Kganyago, South Africa's central bank governor, has been appointed as the new chancellor of Stellenbosch University, succeeding retired Judge Edwin Cameron.
The university’s electoral college met and unanimously elected Kganyago for the role, which carries significant ceremonial importance. Kganyago, who holds a master's degree in economics from the University of London, has been serving as the governor of the South African Reserve Bank since 2014. He previously worked for 15 years at the National Treasury.

During the course of today some eFilers experienced system delays while trying to access EMP201’s. The delays were caused by a significant increase in activity on our Digital Channels.
Individual income tax return filing dates:
•1 Sep to 16 Nov – taxpayers who file online
•1 Sep to 22 Oct – taxpayers who cannot file online can do so at a SARS branch by appointment.
•1 Sep to 31 Jan – provisional taxpayers who file online
