@Grouse_Beater My A & S Highlander Grandfather, Boar War veteran, was in British expeditionary force. Badly wounded he spent months recovering in Manchester. He lived to scratch an old head. Proud of his bravery, but angry that he and so many young men suffered and died for Brit jingoism.
