👎 All I can say about the new 2025 #Superman film is "pfft." The 1978 Superman is so much better David #Corenswet is no Christopher #Reeve and director James #Gunn is no Richard theater. IMHO the storyline is pathetic. I am glad I didn't waste money to see Gunn's version in a theatre.

Actually, there were 4 networks in the 1950s. At least in the range of New York City and Philadelphia (as examples) there were a few independent TV broadcasters. Notably, in the former WNEW-5 (home of 'Captain Video'), WOR-9 (almost all movies) and WPIX-11 (movies and the NY Yankees).

President Barack Obama and his driver were heading down a country road one night when all of a sudden a pig ran across the road, hitting and killing it instantly.

Obama told his driver to stop the limo and go up to the farmhouse and explain to the owners what had happened.

About one hour later the driver staggered back to the car with a bottle of wine in one hand, a cigar in the other and his clothes all ripped and torn.
