Reaffirming its commitment to nation-building through youth engagement, #BallOfFireDivision, under the aegis of #GajrajCorps, in collaboration with the Government of #ArunachalPradesh & #RupaTownClub, inaugurated the #RupaFootballLeague #IndependenceCup2026 at Gyaptong Regional Stadium, Rupa, on #KargilVijayDiwas.

The opening ceremony & inaugural match were witnessed by The Hon'ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Lt Gen KT Parnaik (Retd), who encouraged the youth to embrace sports as a means of building character, discipline, teamwork and national integration.

Organised under #OpSadbhavna from 26 July to 15 August 2026, the League features 16 men's teams, 6 women's teams & over 500 players and officials, celebrating sporting excellence while strengthening the bond between the #IndianArmy & the people.

A significant step towards lasting peace and stability in #Manipur was achieved with the voluntary surrender of 46 cadres of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) before the Hon’ble #ChiefMinister Shri Y Khemchand Singh in the presence of #GOC, #SpearCorps, #DGP, #Manipur, #IGAR South, GOC #RedShieldDivision and DIG, #CRPF at Mantripukhri Garrison, #Imphal East.

This significant outcome happened after months of sustained and patient outreach by the #IndianArmy and #AssamRifles formations of #SpearCorps, under the aegis of #EasternCommand, assisted by #ManipurPolice and Central Security Agencies. Relentless efforts of the #AssamRifles ensured that channels of communication remained open, motivating the cadres to renounce militancy and choose the path of peace and reintegration. The surrendered cadres have resolved to abjure violence and return to civilian life.

The #IndianArmy remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering peace, stability and lasting normalcy in #Manipur.

यह महत्वपूर्ण सफलता #पूर्वी_कमान के तत्वावधान में #SpearCorps की #भारतीय_सेना और #असम_राइफल्स की इकाइयों द्वारा कई महीनों तक लगातार किए गए धैर्यपूर्ण संवाद और जनसंपर्क प्रयासों का परिणाम है। इन प्रयासों में #ManipurPolice और केंद्रीय सुरक्षा एजेंसियों का भी महत्वपूर्ण सहयोग रहा। #असम_राइफल्स ने लगातार संवाद बनाए रखा, जिससे कैडर हिंसा का रास्ता छोड़कर शांति और मुख्यधारा में लौटने के लिए प्रेरित हुए।आत्मसमर्पण करने वाले सभी कैडरों ने हिंसा का त्याग कर सामान्य नागरिक जीवन अपनाने का संकल्प लिया है।

Under the aegis of #GajrajCorps, #SelaWarriors flagged off 26 meritorious students from Dirang & Jang, Arunachal Pradesh, to Woodspark Sainik School, Hamirpur & Tawang Public School. Following six months of dedicated mentoring and counselling, the students were supported with admissions, concessional fees & transportation.

The flag-off ceremony was led by the #DeputyCommissioner, #WestKameng, along with senior officers of #GajrajCorps. The event also featured plantation of 50 saplings under the "Future Leaders Grove" initiative, reaffirming the commitment to nurturing both young minds & a greener future.

As part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations, a reforestation drive was undertaken in the areas of the Darranga Reserve Forest to restore biodiversity. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with Forest Department, #SeemaSurakshaBal, #CivilAdministration, #GreenGlobe NGO, local residents & students.

Around 6500 Elephant fodder plants & Napier grass were planted to enhance food availability for wildlife.

Van Mahotsav के अवसर पर Darranga Reserve Forest के क्षतिग्रस्त क्षेत्रों में जैव विविधता के संरक्षण एवं पुनर्स्थापन के लिए व्यापक वृक्षारोपण अभियान चलाया गया। यह अभियान Forest Department, #SeemaSurakshaBal, #CivilAdministration, #GreenGlobe NGO, स्थानीय नागरिकों एवं विद्यार्थियों के सहयोग से आयोजित किया गया।

#GeneralDhirajSeth, #COAS, during his ongoing visit to @easterncomd, reviewed the operational preparedness of Gajraj Corps and 101 Area.

The #COAS was briefed on the current operational deployment, infrastructure development in forward areas and indigenous modernisation initiatives aimed at enhancing operational and logistic capabilities. During his interaction with all ranks, he commended their unwavering commitment, high standards of operational readiness and seamless synergy with sister services and civil agencies in a multidomain operational environment.

The #COAS appreciated the formations' exemplary contributions to disaster relief, internal security and nation-building across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya. He underscored that operational preparedness, technological transformation and self-reliance remain central to building a future-ready Indian Army and advancing the national vision of #ViksitBharat2047.

The event was graced by #ShriBiswajitDaimary, #Hon'bleMinisterofSportsandYouth Welfare, Assam.

The session highlighted career opportunities in the military while reinforcing the values of patriotism, discipline, leadership, and selfless service.
