Had a productive planning meeting for the Summer Term with @MrJohnson2023 over at @GosbertonAcad!✍️ Of course, while I was there, I couldn’t resist browsing through the new books in the library with @MissAKeeling 📚Always great to catch up and collaborate with the Gosberton team!
One of our Y6 learners led part of Friday’s assembly, looking at a book called “Feelings’
This tied in nicely with #MentalHealthWeek as all of our learners had been exploring their own feelings and emotions over the week!
So proud of these two learners! For their termly project homework, they designed and coded a Scratch game inspired by The Barnabus Project (one of our class texts). Today, they shared it with the rest of Greece Class. Such amazing creativity! 👏 👾🕹️📚 @GCEAcademy
Recorder club was a huge success this week! Miss Bates has a talent she wants to share and our learners were so grateful for this opportunity. #MusicMatters#OpportunitiesToThrive
*popped in, distracted, caused wild hysteria and started talking about how to use a formula to work out how to complete the challenge. #LovedIt#BestPartOfTheJob
Mr Baxter popped into Greece Class’ maths session yesterday and ended up in an area and perimeter problem against some of our learners. #MathsCanBeFun#HavingFun#AlwaysLearning
This year there were no book tokens handed out, thrown away, lost at the bottom of bags or left in trays but thanks to @Miss__Ch__ every learner left with a free book to enjoy, read and share with family members. #ReadingMatters#ReadTodayAchieveTomorrow
A wonderful World Book Day at @GCEAcademy! 📚✨ Celebrations included a Read-a-Thon with other classes and family members. Each learner also chose a WBD book to keep- so wonderful to see them sharing and enjoying them!💙#WorldBookDay@WSHEnglishHub#LincolnshireReadingPledge
A fantastic trip to @IWMDuxford today! The day really brought our WW2 topic to life! The children were exceptional and were a credit to the school! 🛩️We even got to see a V1 Doodlebug, which we read about in our most recent book vote! @GosbertonAcad#ww2#battleofbritain
For DT week, the learners in Gambia Class have been learning about different types of mechanisms. They all made sliders that replicated a castle. They each chose an animal or character for their sliders, sliding along the battlements. @GosbertonAcad
A few of our new books have arrived, that were chosen from the shortlisted Carnegies award list. The learners are excited to read the new books with their peers. We can’t wait for the rest to arrive soon!📚#readingforpleasure@GosbertonAcad@WSHEnglishHub@CarnegieMedals
What a great World Book Day we had @GosbertonAcad! The learners all came in their costumes to celebrate and entered our wooden spoon competition. Our Reading Ambassadors voted for the winners of the competition and presented them with a certificate and a prize!⭐️@WSHEnglishHub
