With the long week end coming and the roads getting busy, please remember that a vehicle with a green light flashing is a volunteer firefighter responding to an emergency. Please give way to them so they can mitigate the incident quickly. #volunteerfirefighter
First grass fire of the spring! Residents please remember you need a burn permit from the municipality to burn any brush pile that doesn’t fit in a 2ft x 2ft fire pit, and please keep a way to extinguish any fire on hand should it get out of control!
Excellent demonstration by @UL_FSRI showing how quickly fire spreads. Seconds count! Do you have working smoke alarms, what about a home escape plan? #FirePreventionWeek#ldnont
ATTENTION: After the significant rain fall this past week end, the Huron County Fire Chiefs have lifted the burn ban. You are now free to continue enjoying the summer with back yard fires. Note: there is still an open air burning bylaw that must be followed.
WARNING: Bayfield Fire is responding to multiple reports of trees and hydro line down, please remain at home while fire, hydro, and municipal crews work to clean up.
BREAKING: Huron County fire chiefs have reviewed the open air burn ban and have decided that conditions have NOT gotten better, the burn ban continues. Please refrain from open air burning or setting off fire works!
NOTICE: there is currently a fire ban in effect for Huron County. This means no open air burning is allowed, this includes camp fires and all recreational fires.
@toradams_ No there is no burn ban in the Municipality of Bluewater at this time. However if you wish to have a open air fire there is a bylaw that you must adhere to. https://t.co/EpGfGJMgF0. Please ensure you have an extinguishing source near by, use clean dry firewood and use a fire pit
Just going to put this here. Missed the trucks for today’s alarm call because not a single vehicle in either direction managed to pull over. It’s not the law but it’s courtesy, hopefully it isn’t your house or loved one that needs our help! #firefighters#greenlight
