I might be running on 3 hours of sleep but teaching a baptism class of 10 kids during one service today and second service PowerZone about the Tabernacle really fills my heart. ❤️ I even had someone tell me my smile was radiating to the other side of the building! God is so good!
We give kids a hard time for the way they behave…take a couple of minutes to hear the weight they are carrying on their shoulders. You would probably behave that way too if you were carrying adult problems as a child. Tonight my heart aches for broken kids. ❤️
Today is one of those days where I am thankful I have no plans after work…I have coffee and soup all over my jeans, pen on my sweatshirt and my hair was combed through by forks this morning by preschoolers… Childrens ministry at its finest!
Me before Ben going into stores: gets distracted a little but ultimately gets stuff needed and leaves
Me after Ben: gets distracted a little + has to look for Funko Pops + has to check out the game section + has to look at LEGOs he might like + get stuff needed and leaves
Tonight I’m waiting with my kids choir and one of my girls says: “how do we know God’s plan?” I said, “God’s plan for what?” She said: “My dad died..how do I know God’s plan?” That might be one of the hardest conversations I’ve ever had with an 8 year old. 🙏🏼❤️ pray for her
Another day in the life of being a children’s minister:
“Do you have any grandchildren?”
-well I don’t even have kids soo…
*Skunk sprays outside the building*
“It smells like kiwi out there!”
