The con is to believe the tax-based NHS system is somehow broken and that a new way of paying for healthcare will fix it. There is no cheaper way. Nothing the govt has planned costs less. The public always pay for healthcare.

@coldclimate Yup, that was part of it for me too. Don’t use gas at all ~April-October: solar diverter very useful. PV helps power the car, so not burning stuff there either.
Definitely has helped with the bills, more so of late.

@coldclimate Been a while since I heard the episode. Skimmed the summary. Net metering isn’t generally a thing here, although the rules and prices have changed a bunch over the years.
I do find working out ROI on my system a bit of a challenge, especially since I’m also removing gas use.
