Reddit is a goldmine for finding customers!
But doing it manually takes time.
That's why Bazzly runs this channel for you 24/7, so you can focus on growing your business.
See the magic for yourself: https://t.co/oVgNlCauf8 ๐
Exceeded 7k MRR today!! Here are 3 things I do for marketing every day that have helped:
1. Bazzly โ Been using @bazzlyai from @FilipPanoski. Definitely recommend it for finding leads on reddit. I know for sure we've converted some customers from this channel. But, also appreciate that it helps GEO/AEO by getting your product name out there on reddit.
We're getting quite a bit of traffic now from ChatGPT and seeing Perplexity and https://t.co/YAz2do9a5j show up more too.
2. Outrank โ Kinda love @outrank_so from @tibo_maker. I built my own in-house process for writing content, but it still took quite a bit of management on my end and it didn't help us build backlinks. Now we're at 12DR and hit 300 clicks in the last 28 days.
3. Meta ads โ Wasn't sure how profitable meta ads would be for us, but it's turning out to work well. It's obviously a much more expensive way to grow, but with the above a lot of our marketing is on auto-pilot.
Going to keep focusing on these 3, but curious about other channels like LinkedIn and even focusing more on X. Haven't been super focused on X lately since the above has been working and I've been putting most of my energy into improving the product.
Improving our conversion rate across our funnel and our retention our top priorities right now.
we're slowly letting people into Bazzly
my co-maker @FilipPanoski caps the invites so we can watch capacity, so we're sending waitlist emails in small batches
goal: making sure the value delivered is x10 higher than any other Reddit marketing product
watch your inbox
or join the waitlist: https://t.co/1MEIhy0L5K
we closed signups on a product that's 6 weeks old because it's growing faster than we expected ๐คฏ
quick backstory:
june 8: I announced I joined a project for Reddit. opened 10 slots
july 14: phase 1 validated, so we opened signups for 48 hours
demand went way past what we could serve
Bazzly runs on real, high-karma Reddit accounts. they're expensive to run, and spreading them thin across too many customers kills the quality
so we stopped taking money to protect the results
time to make it official: I'm building this one with @FilipPanoski and @tomjacquesson as co-makers ๐
if you want Reddit sending you customers on autopilot, the waitlist is open ๐
can't believe I got featured on Indie Hackers.
after 7 years of failed side projects, I always felt like an imposter calling myself an indie hacker.
I guess it's finally official ๐
founders skip DMs because they "don't scale."
at $0 MRR, "scale" is the wrong problem.
what DMs actually give you under $1K MRR:
โ qualitative feedback no survey gives
โ first paying users without ad spend
โ relationships that compound
โ real testimonials for your LP
โ $0 cost. just time.
the channel that doesn't scale is the channel that gets you to the point where scaling matters.
This is the startup advice I wish I had.
After going from $0 to $1K MRR, here's the exact 7-step sequence I'd do if I started over:
If your tool solves a one-time problem, you'll need new customers forever just to stay flat.
Recurring pain = recurring revenue.
If your users can't explain why they're paying in one sentence, you're building a nice-to-have.
Most founders build first, then figure out how to reach people. That's backwards.
If you can't get people to sign up for a waitlist, you won't get them to sign up for your MVP either.
If your user has to figure out how to get value on their own, they won't.
What I did: users enter their product URL and AI pre-fills everything. Zero friction.
Also set up email notifications to pull users back in. Most people will never open your app again unless you give them a reason.
Not surveys. Not analytics. Real conversations.
Ask why they signed up. Ask what confused them. Ask people who canceled why they left.
Every conversation sharpens your product, positioning, and messaging in ways no dashboard ever will.
If users leave as fast as you bring them in, more marketing = more waste.
Make your tool more valuable. Get users to experience that value faster.
Churn is your most important metric.
Map where you're losing people:
โข visitors โ signup
โข signup โ trial
โข trial โ paid
โข paid โ retained
Find the biggest drop-off. Fix that first. Then move to the next one.
Start with one channel. Only stack more once your funnel is healthy.
New channels on top of a broken funnel = wasted effort.
New channels on top of a working funnel = compounding growth.
Every step builds on the one before it. Skip one and the rest break.
GUYS I DID IT!!
14 months ago I quit my job and lived on savings.
Today I finally hit $1k MRR with Bazzly ๐
It's still unbelievable that the bet paid off.
If I can do it, so can you. Do NOT give up.
I see a lot of founders stuck below $100 MRR.
Here's the exact sequence I used to go from $0 to $700:
No content. No Product Hunt. No audience building.
This is too slow.
Instead I reached out directly to people who were clearly my target audience and offered a free trial.
Every conversation taught me what they actually wanted. Every canceled trial taught me what was missing.
That feedback loop got me to $100 MRR.
At $100 MRR I noticed people were churning. So I stopped doing outreach and just talked to people who canceled.
3 months of this loop: get feedback โ implement changes โ test with new users โ repeat.
By the end I had a:
โข better offer
โข better landing page
โข better activation
โข higher signups
โข lower churn
The funnel finally felt healthy. So it was time to go all-in on marketing again.
Once my funnel was fixed, cold outreach got me to $200 MRR.
At this point, I had learned valuable strategies and insights I could share with my target audience.
So creating content started making sense.
I started sharing real lessons from this whole journey on X and Reddit.
Those posts brought traffic, traffic brought customers, customers gave me new insights, insights became new content.
That loop added ~$100 MRR every week.
Don't skip to content and ads before your funnel is ready.
A GAME-CHANGING FEATURE JUST DROPPED IN BAZZLY
Reddit is the most Googled platform.
It's also the most cited platform by AI.
Thousands of people search Google and ask AI every day to get tool recommendations.
That means showing up #1 on the right Reddit post is one of the highest leverage distribution moves you can make.
And the best part is you don't have to do traditional SEO.
No blogs. No backlinks. No waiting 6 months for SEO to kick in.
Just one well-placed reply on a high-ranking post that gets high-traffic.
Bazzly now finds the best Reddit posts in your niche that rank on Google and are cited by AI, and helps your reply show up #1.
Reddit SEO is the biggest untapped channel right now.
Don't sleep on it. People will catch on fast ๐
I've been crushing SEO without writing a single blog post.
Most people think SEO =
long articles, backlinks, and waiting months.
I skip all of that.
Reddit has become my secret weapon, driving 100+ high-intent visitors every single week.
Here's the exact playbook:
1) Only reply to posts Google already ranks (or will)
Search things like:
"best ___ reddit"
"___ alternatives reddit"
"tool for ___ reddit"
"how do you ___ reddit"
These keywords already have hungry buyers searching.
Then find fresh posts in the same subreddits and reply early - so your comment sits on top when the post starts ranking.
2) Turn your comment into the SEO asset
Don't pitch. Become the best answer.
I always:
โข give clear step-by-step help
โข suggest multiple real options (not just mine)
โข mention my product naturally, no links
Helpful comments get upvoted.
Upvoted comments stay on top.
Top comments compound traffic for months.
That's the whole system.
High-intent searches + genuinely useful replies = SEO without the blog grind.
If you want traffic that actually converts, stop writing content nobody reads and start answering where people already search.
Just crossed $1k in total revenue with Bazzly ๐
$100 MRR added every single week like clockwork.
At this rate I'll stop burning through savings and actually pay myself soon.
Keep iterating guys.
I've been winning at SEO without writing a SINGLE blog post.
Most people think SEO means:
โข writing long blog posts
โข building backlinks
โข waiting 6 months
That's not how I've been doing it.
Reddit has been my highest-ROI SEO channel that consistently brings me 100+ high-intent visitors EVERY week.
Here's my exact system:
I was stuck at $0 MRR for MONTHS.
I was doing EVERYTHING:
โข Email / affiliate marketing
โข Posting content
โข Paid ads
โข SEO
None of it worked until I realized ONE thing:
Until you hit $500 MRR, ANY channel that isn't direct 1:1 conversation is a distraction.
Here's the tactical playbook that took me from $0 to $600 MRR:
1. Find your dream customers on X/Reddit/LinkedIn
2. Reach out to them with a personalized offer
3. Convince them to become a paying customer
4. If you can't, ask why, then improve your offer
5. REPEAT until $500 MRR
Don't focus on anything else. Thank me later.
Your first distribution channel is probably *destroying* your startup.
Founders waste months on 'awareness':
โข Posting on X/Reddit/LinkedIn
โข Launching on Product Hunt
These just lead to:
โข Vanity metrics
โข Couple of likes & impressions
Here's the brutal truth. You don't need reach. You need uncomfortable conversations.
My cold outreach approach FORCED me to talk to 100+ users and ITERATE on my offer BEFORE I even launched anywhere.
That's how my SaaS went from $0 to $600 MRR *overnight*.
Stop focusing on content. Start doing outreach until your offer screams 'I solve YOUR problem.'
I had one of the BEST jobs ever:
โข software dev
โข working from home
โข making $7k/mo
The average salary where I live is $700.
Yeah. I was living the dream.
But building someone else's vision instead of my own? It felt hollow.
So I quit my job and went all-in on chasing the indie hacking dream.
I grinded for 6 months on a SaaS that made exactly $0.
My savings were burning. My "great idea" was a failure.
The doubt crushed me. Did I just make a huge mistake?
But walking away now would mean all that pain was for nothing.
So I kept building. This time: a Reddit marketing automation tool.
After 7 more months of obsessive work and relentless iteration, it exploded from $0 to $550 MRR. And it's still climbing.
The bet I made on myself is starting to pay off.
Chase your dreams. Stay relentless. Bet on yourself.
Nobody else will do it for you.
My tool Bazzly just pulled in an extra $1900 in ARR... IN A SINGLE DAY.
I literally had to change my scheduled MRR posts since now they're outdated.
It's unreal how suddenly things can take off.
The grind will pay off, I promise.
7 months ago I launched Bazzly.
I had quit my job and was living on savings.
I had only 300 followers, and 0$ MRR.
Today my tool is $440 MRR and growing like crazy.
The bet I made on myself is starting to pay off.
