WHY WOULD A STATE FIGHT THIS?

🇺🇸The U.S. Department of Justice has sent letters to election officials in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., warning that they could face criminal prosecution for knowingly allowing noncitizens to remain on voter rolls or to vote in federal elections. The letters were signed by Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon.

🇺🇸They demand that states explain within five days how they will comply with federal laws requiring only U.S. citizens to vote in federal elections and maintain accurate voter rolls. They explicitly state that state election officials, including chief election officers, could be criminally prosecuted for aiding and abetting violations if they knowingly retain noncitizens on rolls, send them ballots, or count such ballots.

🇺🇸A reminder that Federal law already prohibits noncitizens from voting in federal elections. Election officials in both parties have received these letters and some Marxist Democrats have called them political pressure or intimidation tactics. Experts note they appear designed more to force compliance and list maintenance than to result in immediate widespread prosecutions.

🇺🇸If it’s already federal law, why would any Democrat have a problem with this? You and I both know the answer.

The Left's outrage machine is hard at work trying to convince you that ICE just killed an American in cold blood in front of his son. That's what I would have thought if I had only read Rep. Delia Ramirez's post. But if you take a breath and look at the official report, the story is very different:

An illegal immigrant rammed an ICE vehicle, refused multiple verbal commands, and weaponized his car to try and run over an officer. The agent fired in self-defense to save his own life. But that doesn't cause enough outrage against ICE, so the activists in Congress just leave out those details. This machine relies entirely on you not looking for the truth.
