The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame sends its condolences to the family and friends of Gene Bess, a coach whose longevity and success were unmatched in college basketball.

Through parts of seven decades, Bess led @3Rmbb in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to a near-unfathomable 1,300 wins and two NJCCA national championships.

Bess’s accomplishments will forever hold a cherished spot in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
