Coach Pat Summitt was as good of a coach (and leader) as we’ve ever seen in any sport. Her standards apply to every area of life and are equally impactful in business!
After a 1st half where we did nothing right and trailed 33-5. I was proud of the girls effort and execution in the second half. We didn’t let the lead get any larger and cut the lead to 17 in the third quarter.
Eventually, losing 52-24 to a good Goffstown team lead by Maggie Sasso a 1st or 2nd team all star. Spaulding was lead by Meagan Uraskevich 8 points, Gabby Couture and Damiya Perkins 5 points a piece.
Girls battled but just too many turnovers and being unable to clear the boards lead to the 64-20 defeat. Spaulding was lead by senior Gabby Couture with 8 points and senior Kate McCawley with 5 points. Back to work tomorrow to fix some things and to keep working to get better.
Tough opening night for Spaulding Girls Basketball. Windham used their length and height to jump out to a 35-9 lead at halftime. Using a full court press that Spaulding struggled breaking and their height to get offensive rebounds.
NEGATIVE BODY LANGUAGE LETS
• Your opponents know they have the upper hand
• Your teammates know your selfish
• Recruiters know you can't handle adversity

Nothing good comes from negative BL.

“The game doesn't know who you are. The game doesn't know who is supposed to win. All the game asks is to show up every day, give 100%, and respect yourself and others. You must love the game on good days and bad days.”
~ @SueEnquist quote via @TheCoachJournal
Crying he said, “Mom, I got cut.”
Pat Summitt's son was heartbroken, she was upset, but…
She didn't blame the coach. She didn't complain to the admin. She said, "Son, you didn't work hard enough. I guarantee if you wear out both of those basketballs, you'll make the team."
