"anza just launched alpenglow, the most substantial tech change since solana's inception"
"incredible this changes everything"
"do you know what alpenglow does?"
"no, do you?"
"no"
The Perps landscape is incredibly fragmented and as a user it's difficult to know which platforms to trade on.
I've experimented with countless Perp dexes from the early days with dYdX, MCDEX, Perp protocol, GMX, Drift, Hyperliquid, Variational, etc... and the quality of the user experience is differs greatly between platforms.
A platform that nails the entire trading experience from deposit through withdrawal is crucial to attracting and retaining traders.
While I have no affiliation, @PhoenixTrade is hands down the best trading experience available today with an intuitive user experience that removes the frictions present in so many other platforms. It's still early days and their main challenge remains attracting liquidity, which given the trading experience will grow over time.
In the past 5 months alone open interest grew roughly 15x, and as Solana solidifies itself as THE chain to trade on, I see Phoenix thriving.

we had a full house last night
120+ students showed up to hear @ellipsis_labs break down how they built phoenix, on-chain perps on @solana. then 60 of them stayed to play poker with the team.
congrats to our winners @je_remy_mao, @sp3ked, and ateş ısfendiyaroğlu 🏆
thank you so much to @bbbisho and atif for showing up big for boiler blockchain !!
Underrated @PhoenixTrade feature: before you send a market order, you can see exactly how many book levels it's expected to cross.
There are lots of small product touches that have shipped quietly over time. Most of them are hiding in plain sight.
👀
As crypto markets wake up, there are lots of juicy funding trades available on @PhoenixTrade.

Toly wants Solana to win all trading
The last couple of months around @PhoenixTrade show what that actually looks like
In just a short span:
• new markets kept getting added, pushing Phoenix past 80 overall
• the equity perp lineup grew to 29 markets
• TWAP orders went live
• @solflare brought Phoenix perps straight into the wallet, making them much easier to access
• projects like @PerpsPadfun started building on top of it, using its perp infra to power leveraged token treasuries
And now SOL is live as collateral too, the first asset in Phoenix’s broader multicollateral system.
If Solana wants its trading share to keep growing, this is what it takes: teams pushing the trading stack forward, and others turning that infrastructure into products people actually use.
satoshi being a mysterious pseudonymous entity who appeared out of nowhere, invented permissionless internet money, and vanished makes a lot more sense once you realize it was obviously a superintelligence traveling back in time to bootstrap the agent economy
It seems that many people randomly voted no for Solana disinflation velocity at last second instead of having any discussion under a false facade of thinking it somehow preserves extra revenue through yield for them
The math is that if you believe avoiding an extra 19M SOL being printed can affect valuation by as little as 1.03%, it'd be more profitable to vote yes, even as someone who relies on inflation yield, not to mention the mimetic element for new capital
The people who prefer the quantity of the asset vs the value of it should immediately move to Venezuela and let other SOL holders know how that works out
It is mathematically nonsense to vote no to preserve miniscule marginal inflation revenue unless you believe that inflation is less than a 1% factor in the valuation of an asset
SGP-0003 is a middle finger to every microstructure-sensitive application on Solana.
It signals to every developer that the cost model for the chain may be upended at any time, even if no applications support it.
How can you put your business logic on-chain in this world?
