@skymagpie Larp. The themes aren't this simple and in all 3 games you can kill fish to turn into fuel for your bases. There are 0 consequences for the player killing anything in 1 and BZ, BUT it'd be interesting if there were. Should have been implemented in 2
@TamTamTammy3 One last thing, I don't see why killing or harming (accidentally or on purpose) couldn't be balanced with different consequences or story outcomes. Interactivity etc etc. A lot of discussion about this is ideologically charged instead of focusing on what'd improve the game
@TamTamTammy3 Since some logs refer to players as alterran owned debt slaves, there's justification to not allow us to fabricate anything potentially lethal using alterran tech, though. But there already is an edged weapon in the game- the tailing spears. We just can't grab or scan them (yet?)
@luke_leisher_@swansweeping You get a nonlethal gun that can stun any creature and holds them frozen in a stasis, but that's what did it for you? Most people weren't ever going freeze a leviathan and hack it to death for 5 minutes with a knife. The time and effort it would take was already prohibitive
@0j4xx Just one of those thangs, ironically the game probably would have been forgotten almost instantly if not for the outrage. Maybe it really is inorganic and the outrage was predictable and park of the marketing, lul
@0j4xx Daughter of larry ellison financed it, despite being boring/bad big outlets are rating it a 10/10 over better games, and a lot of positive video reviewers are getting nice merch like koss headphones before they play it, so people are calling it an industry plant

A little chud coded in many ways and the title is crazy, but a pretty interesting esoteric perspective on how there may be a mass global shift to such a thing. I'm a level 1 slime wrt many of these ideas though
