As part of Fashion Revolution Week, Saamuhika Shakti partner Enviu Textiles joined hands with the Global Shapers #Bengaluru I Hub for Stitch in Timeโan event that celebrated conscious fashion and upcycling. With support from partner @Hasiru_Dala, pre-loved clothes were sourced and reused, turning awareness into action.
The @InvaluablesBLR โGot Old Clothes?โ by our partner @bbcmaIND was also introduced by Alisha Jain, Marketing & Communication, Enviu Textiles, sparking conversations on how to responsibly discard textile waste.

This #EarthDay ๐, letโs heed the call to take action!
*Did you know:
โข 75% of household #TextileWaste from #Bengaluru is either landfilled or incinerated
โข At 7.2 million tonnes, it is one of the biggest waste items in India, of which, only 19% are recycled
The sheer scale of this growing pollution demands urgent, systemic solutions - a solution Bengaluru is showing the world.
Our partners in Saamuhika Shakti - @bbcmaIND, @Hasiru_Dala and @ApparelCircular - are working together to address the growing crisis of post consumer textile waste through an inclusive, circular model that does two things:
โข Reduces textile waste at the landfill, protect the environment
โข Whilst creating secure, dignified livelihoods for waste pickers
โจ Got Old Clothes? Be part of the solution.
