Imagine sitting through another election cycle watching the same Republican establishment that spent years calling you names and treating MAGA like a bad smell… and realizing Lara Logan is right. They are not doing much to win these midterms because a loss lets them blame Trump and kill the movement after the election. They really think they can take control back from the people. They are so small.

Here is the reality. The uniparty never wanted you in the room. They wanted your vote when it was convenient and your silence when it was not, and now that you forced the country to look at borders and wars and a rotted system that hates generational Americans, the cool kids club is waiting for the midterms to go sideways so they can say see, MAGA was the problem all along. Make no mistake, that is not strategy for America, that is strategy for their club and their donors and their little careers.

How do you not see the pattern? They fundraise off your fear, they talk tough on camera, and then they sit on their hands when it is time to actually work the problem. Lara called them small and she is not wrong… small people with big titles who would rather lose seats than let the people keep the wheel. I am angry watching this kabuki theater while they act like the adults in the room and lecture you about tone.

But hey… keep pretending this is just another Dem versus Republican season while the same crew that hated Trump for a decade suddenly rediscovers "norms" the second your side starts winning. You already know what comes next if they get their blue wave and their narrative. They reclaim the brand, they bury the uprising, and they tell you to go back to sleep like none of this ever happened.

Think I am reading this wrong? Show me the establishment fighting like their lives depend on it. Show me the urgency. Until then Lara has them dead to rights. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Passing time in a tightly packed airport coffee shop recently, I ended up in conversation with a thirty-something couple sitting only inches from me. I was coming from Mexico City and they were going there. After the usual banter, I asked where they were from and learned they were New Yorkers moving out of that city. They didn’t offer a reason and I didn’t press for one.

They asked me what I did for a living and I explained that I was a writer currently investigating how cartels were smuggling people into the US. I say I was chatting with this couple, but it was really only with her. He said nothing the entire time. But he listened intently as she asked questions.

“You travel a lot? Where have you been?”

“Well, so far this year, I’ve covered the WEF in Davos, researched Karl Marx in London, went to Gaza with the IDF…”

“You’ve been to Israel?” She interrupted. “We’ve been there. What do you think of the war?”

I guessed that here our conversation would end unhappily. They were New Yorkers, so almost certainly heavily propagandized lefties. But I pressed on.

“Almost everything you hear in Western media is wrong…”

“You mean it’s a lie. How?”

“Oct 7 was not just a Charlie Hebdo-style terrorist attack. It was an act of war. More than 7,000 Hamas terrorists penetrated the frontier at more than 100 points. Inspired by Islam, they had been instructed to r8pe, behead, torture, and kidnap men, women, and children.”

He still said nothing, but leaned forward, eyes narrowing.

“Who helped them do it?” She asked.

“Iran was the biggest supplier, but North Korea, China, and Qatar mostly. The UNRWA also played a role. Weapons and matériel were stockpiled in Egypt and smuggled into Gaza through tunnels.”

“You know that?”

“I know that. Trust me.” That led to a discussion of President Sisi, the Muslim Brotherhood, and my standoff with Egyptian State Security in Cairo. Still, I had no real gauge for where they stood politically. She asked if I had written anything on the subject, so I pointed her to my article for The Federalist connecting the dots between Egypt, USAID, Gaza, and my swatting.

A woman sitting nearby, leaned over and said, “Forgive me for eavesdropping on your conversation, but this is fascinating.” We all chatted a bit longer and I left.

About 30 minutes later I was standing in line at the gate waiting to board my flight when the husband appeared.

“Pardon me, but I had to come find you.” He was full of emotion. He indicated that he and his wife were Israelis who had lived in NYC but were now fleeing Mamdani’s third world sh*thole.

“You are a man who needs the protection of angels,” he said, and then presented me with a Jewish holy book. “We want you to have this. I pray it protects you.”

With that he turned and walked away.

Gentile and fierce Protestant that I am, I was nonetheless deeply moved. It seems they had read the article and, catching a glimpse of my work, felt my life was in danger. For my own part, I was aware that the same ideology that threatened me, was the same one that threatened them, forced them to move, and imperiled their native land.

I’m often amazed by the people the Lord puts in my path when I pause long enough to look around and notice them.

In 2015 the EU tried to force Poland to take in migrants from the Middle East and Africa, but Poland REFUSED.

When Belarus started pushing migrants at its border in 2021, Poland didn't let them in and then pay for their housing, food, and healthcare like so many Western countries do. Instead, it built a steel wall more than 100 miles long and put soldiers on it.

A Muslim association in France has expressed concern over the renewed enthusiasm surrounding Catholicism during Pope Leo XIV’s visit, saying that “in 45 years, France will become Catholic again, and we’ll be left with nothing but our tears.”

The group added that Catholics are “much better organized” and “more determined” than Muslims, and warned that the influence of American Catholicism could help fuel the growth of Catholicism around the world.

Rep. María Elvira Salazar of Florida spent months selling a legal status bill she swears isn’t amnesty. Last week she put it on television and told President Trump his immigration enforcement had gone too far. Tonight Trump put the backlash to her ad on his own page. The backlash has been brutal, and it should be. I’ve called Salazar out ever since she started pushing that bill. I called her a traitor and said she should be primaried. Her critics tonight are saying worse.

Salazar represents a Miami district that’s three-quarters Hispanic. Trump carried it. She backed Trump’s ICE detentions and deportations in Congress, then filmed an ad outside the White House warning him that half the people ICE detained in July had no criminal record and that Hispanic voters feel betrayed. She said she doesn’t want amnesty. She wants a dignified life in this promised land. That’s a slogan for keeping people here who came illegally.

Illegal presence is the crime the country voted to stop. A work permit and a path that never uses the word citizenship is still a reward for cutting the line. DHS already told Salazar there will be no amnesty whether she likes it or not. Trump should keep that line and let her explain the ad to the voters who didn’t ask for it. Salazar is a traitor to America. She’s pushing that bill because her donors want cheap labor from people here illegally. Voters need to send a message that rejects Salazar, her donors, and the people here illegally.

Wife and I on the way home from Newark Airport stopped off at our local Italian restaurant and after we sat down were joined in our section by about 16 of the loudest teenagers making it tough to have a conversation as we ate. There was one other couple of two elderly ladies who I noticed before the group came who actually cheered when their meal came and I said to the wife what a cheerful beautiful smile they had just seeing their food in front of them. Well, this group of teens were all "challenged" (I hate the word disabled). They had a group counselor/cheerleader with them that couldn't have been anymore kinder and helpful to 16 teens than if she tried. The smiles on the teens faces enjoying their pizza and Italian ices afterwards as they clapped and laughed with each other made for one terrific meal for the wife and I. My two older women enjoyed the teens as much as we did smiling long with their joy. God Bless these counselors who assist with the "challenged" population for what is a tough job but rewarding as all hell.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars are pouring in for 81-year-old Donald Johnson after the internet found out he was working 14-hour days to help pay for his wife's cancer treatment.

For the past three years, Johnson has delivered lost luggage after struggling to find other work to cover their bills, all while helping care for Josephine, his wife of 57 years.

Then a North Texas resident saw him struggling with the bags and decided to step in, launching a GoFundMe to help with the couple's medical bills and give Johnson a chance to finally retire.

Now, strangers have raised more than $270,000 for the couple.

Johnson says the support could finally let him put down the luggage and spend more time where he wants to be: by his wife's side.

I actually like Miami. I really do. It’s a beautiful, exciting town with great weather, great food and plenty to do. But…
there’s one thing about it that bothers me, and it’s the same thing that bothers me about New York City sometimes- there are parts of it that no longer feel like America.

Then I get down to some little town in Texas, hear English everywhere I go, and think, “Oh yeah, this is what home feels like.” English is the common language of this country.
Apparently that has become controversial to say.

And before everybody starts screaming, this isn’t about hating immigrants. America was built by immigrants. But immigration used to come with an expectation: you came here, learned the language, became part of the culture and joined the country. You didn’t simply relocate your old country here and expect America to adjust around you. That isn’t assimilation.
That’s just changing addresses.

How can entire sections of an American city operate almost completely in another language? Because somewhere along the way, we became too frightened to say, “Welcome to America, 🇺🇸 now make an effort to become American.” Instead, the people already living here are expected to accommodate everybody arriving, and if we object, somehow we’re the problem!

And I’m tired of getting into an Uber in America and having the driver tell me, “No hablo inglés.”
You’re driving strangers around an American city.
You need to understand directions, questions and emergencies.
I shouldn’t need a translation app just to explain where I’m going. If your job requires communicating with the public, learning the common language shouldn’t be considered discrimination. It should be considered part of the damn job.

A country cannot remain a country without something holding its people together, a language, a culture and a basic agreement about how the place works.
At some point, America has to stop being embarrassed about expecting people who come here to actually join it.

So.. ASSIMILATE!
