@680TheFan@CelliniNick@chrisdimino Can only imagine what kind of trade packages the falcons turned down over the years… instead they’ve tried to force a thing that just doesn’t seem to fit. Good player but criminally misused.
@exitplanetdvst@929TheGame@MPJohnson79@squidbilly929 He’s QB4 in the shakiest QB room in the NFL. No coach is putting their name on the line for Strand. I get it, he’s a good story, but he’s simply not NFL quality. Way too far to go in development. Falcons certainly don’t have the time to wait on him.
@steakshapiro You and many others will just complain about the development process for a rookie the next 2-3 years no matter who they pick. It’s a process and you must take lumps. This IS the falcons and things CAN get worse. In fact, they often do!!!
@SpeakSoftMike I’m a Penix Stan. But I always thought hurts could be a good target. I find it way more likely that this regime targets a blockbuster trade for a vet… I do not believe the current FO/coaching staff could survive a rookie QB developmental process without getting fired.
@BKsquared7 Wtf was bijan looking at presnap? OL already had a hat on a hat. #6 from his side showing blitz. Bijan has been out of position in pass pro a ton and that’s unacceptable for a $23M RB
@SpeakSoftMike Every QB who runs around like crazy is hurt way too often… Lamar, purdy, dart, Daniel’s, Murray, Williams now, and I could name a few more. Only one who’s stayed healthy is Josh Allen. And Allen had plenty of struggles in the beginning. Still has some terrible games
@EJATL4 It’s mainly sad because it’s a wins-losses league. However when they won HUGE earlier this year the narrative was that the other team sucked, not that Penix made massive strides and played well. Folks just want perfect hero ball weekly and ignore any mistake from others
@steakshapiro There’s ZERO complementary football going on and special teams is finding new ways to kill the team but we need to pile on MPJ. Next QB likely looks worse with how bad the trenches are and paper thin depth on the roster.
@tre3shon Rees was an iffy hire who produced a league worst 15ppg across a 2 season sample size. Personally, I’m not shocked that his O is having major issues and inconsistency. Proof was already out there. Expecting different is foolish
@929TheGame@atlbell929 Difference between losing 31-0 or 31-23 is Penix. You don’t sniff the red zone without him. And terrible special teams giving them at least 14 pts. Non starter in the NFL
@929TheGame@atlbell929 Any QB is getting beat up behind this OL with this play calling. Plug any one else in there that you want, it’ll be the same result or probably worse
