I try to stay apolitical in my profession of war studies, I really do, but the anti-Israeli grift in American politics is sick. Even if you don't care about Israel. Have no clue about the benefits of the Israel-American relationship (there are many). Hate to hate. To see political candidates make anti-Israel one of their primary political positions, in the United States, and get votes for that, to play on ignorance about Israel, the region, the different fronts rather than real domestic issues like economy, safety, opportunity or foreign policy issues like great power competition, terrorism, energy, national security, waste/fraud/abuse in the international institutions. Rather, to play on clickbait lies rather than hard truths. It is sick and continues to put American jewish citizens, communities in danger.

The electoral college for starters, and most Democrats either want to expand the Supreme Court, or in the case of El-Sayed, imposing term limits on Supreme Court justices and allow each presidential term the same number of Supreme Court appointments. Separate from the Constitution, he wants to abolish the filibuster, ICE and private health insurance.

The Democratic Socialists of America platform calls to abolish the U.S. Senate and “replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress.”

Socialism isn't just a bogeyman word for things that "code left." It's an actual approach to government chiefly defined by central economic control and government stewardship of people's lives. And that's not simply a question of left or right. It's a question of whether the government is constrained as a protector of liberty and it's leaders understand themselves to be stewards of a free nation. An administration and a party promising to "protect us from socialism" that nevertheless engages in all the hallmarks of socialism and doesn't constrain its governing vision in limited government and decentralized authority is not one that offers much comfort in a time of rising socialism in the other party.

No, it means @AIPAC will oppose a candidate who, with good reason, they believe is anti-Israel.
