I’ve spent the past couple of weeks building Looters: a public archive of Nigerian political corruption since the 1990s.
Governors, ministers, shell companies, Swiss accounts, the Jersey trusts, — one searchable graph.
You too can connect the dots: https://t.co/faIfzWfAIp
Let me put the Dangote 20,000MW announcement in context so you understand what is actually being said here.
Nigeria has an installed generation capacity of about 13,000MW. Most of it is unavailable due to transmission bottlenecks, gas shortages, and ageing infrastructure. The government built that capacity across decades, multiple administrations, and hundreds of billions of naira in public spending.
Dangote is proposing to build 20,000MW. More than the entire national grid, even from private funds. From cash flows generated by a refinery the NNPC spent years fighting.
He said he needs 38 visas just to move around Africa as an investor. 38 visas to invest in your own continent. And despite that barrier, despite government resistance, despite the dysfunction of every public institution around him, he keeps building.
The Nigerian government has oil wells, tax revenue, World Bank loans, and 60 years. Dangote has one lifetime and a functioning brain. The results speak for themselves. And the government will still find a way to slow this project down. Watch.
I reported a police officer to the Federal High Court Abuja.
Not PSPC. Not his DPO. Not his IG.
Federal High Court.
Let me tell you what he did to make me go that far.
Next time you visit your in-laws, excuse yourself to use the restroom, leave your phone recording on the table, and come back to the truth. You can thank me later 😅
In case anyone isn’t aware, Trump is demanding Zambia to hand over its mineral rights by end of day tomorrow or the U.S. gov’t will cut off the country’s access to the AIDS medications that are literally keeping its citizens alive.
Just thought y’all should know.
Last night I watched a documentary about the US Moon missions.
Thousands of engineers, scientists, mathematicians and entire universities working on one impossible goal of putting humans on the Moon.
The level of ambition was almost frightening.
Then I opened Nigerian news this morning.
And it was the same depressing circus:
Politicians defecting again.
ADC de-recognized.
Jos massacre.
Another ethnic argument on TV.
Every day is just noise.
220 million people… and our biggest national obsession is still politics and tribe.
No moonshot.
No grand scientific challenge.
No national engineering ambition.
Just endless distraction.
Did Nigerians themselves lose the hunger for greatness?
Because great nations argue about how to build the future.
We argue about who insulted who yesterday.
And that difference is why some countries are planning missions to the Moon…
while others are still trapped in yesterday’s arguments.
Confirmed: The hacker “BytetoBreach” published over 3TB or sensitive data.
They hacked Remita, Sterling Bank, Zenith Bank, the Oyo State Government, Leadway Assurance, GetBumpa, ABU Zaria, and over 30 Nigerian companies, including government institutions, exposing sensitive data to the public.
While we were busy talking about Nasboi and VDM, Bandits tried to Hijack a plane in broad day light, at Akure airport .
Let me rephrase, bandits attempted to seize and take control of a Plane in Ondo State.
A Yoruba land!!!
But they are camped under my Chagoury tweet, defending his future presidential ambition.
