Let’s talk Colorado fees and taxes. For a $50k new vehicle, your Specific Ownership Tax is $892.50 (50,000 × 85% × 2.1%). That’s BEFORE your ordinary registration fees and surcharges. This is just one example of how much Coloradans are being beat to death by taxes and fees.

Now Dems want to keep your TABOR refunds this fall via Prop NN. Let’s review some more numbers of how much their revenue has increased over the years…. Revenue generated by Colorado fee-based enterprises grew from $742 million in FY1994 to $25.8 BILLION in 2024. It’s also estimated that 74% of state spending was TABOR-exempt in 2024, compared with 46% in 1996.

Share this out and vote NO on Prop NN this fall. They don’t have a revenue problem, they have a spending problem.

Colorado’s crime problems are largely due to policy decisions by our Democrat-controlled State Legislature.

And a perfect example of that is Colorado State Senator Janice Marchman who seemed to be more worried about a criminal with a warrant who barricaded himself in a house and shot at law enforcement than the people suffering under her soft-on-crime policies.

In a bizarre reply to the Loveland Police Department, Senator Marchman seemed to complain that this man was shot by law enforcement after firing at them.

And to make matters worse, another Democrat candidate for the State House previously protested a “Back the Blue” Rally in Berthoud in 2020!

Colorado families across the state are reeling from attacks by violent criminals and these same Democrat lawmakers are now inflicting us with anti-gun laws that make it more difficult to defend ourselves.

Oh look… Denver Mayor Meth Camp Mike is cozying up with Geno Shvedov, founder of Hazelbrook Sober Living / ParadigmONE.

This is the same Geno with a lengthy criminal history (assaults, drug dealing, prison violations) whose org has grabbed over $2.7 million in Caring for Denver taxpayer grants for “mental health” and sober living programs. But, they don’t require the program participants to be clean from drugs. Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of “sober” living.

Months after the cash started flowing, his company bought a nearly $1 million home in a nice Denver neighborhood… for Geno and his wife to live in. Not for the people in the program.

The nonprofit he runs claims he works full-time but reports basically zero compensation on tax forms while money flows between family companies, for-profits, and even a Belize shell entity. 🤯

This is the kind of NGO fraud and wasted taxpayer money that’s flooding Denver while nothing gets better.
