I am hearing that Highly Respected MAGA Warrior, Cody Simpson, is considering launching his Campaign for Commissioner of Agriculture in the wonderful State of South Carolina, which I won in 2016, 2020, and 2024, with the Highest Vote in South Carolina History! Cody is a Fifth Generation Farmer, and Former Agriculture Advisor and Chief Executive Assistant to GREAT Governor Henry McMaster. As South Carolina State Executive Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency in my Administration, he has continued to serve the Palmetto State with distinction, delivering outstanding results. A true America First Patriot, who has been with us from the very beginning, Cody is an incredibly effective Voice for South Carolina Agriculture, and our amazing Farmers and Ranchers. As your next Agriculture Commissioner, Cody would work tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Champion American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, Ensure LAW AND ORDER, Support our Military/Veterans, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment. Should he decide to enter this Race, Cody Simpson has my Complete and Total Endorsement. RUN, CODY, RUN!

Election season is upon us. South Carolina’s farmers and foresters deserve the best. Their new leader must be one who loves our state, knows our land, and will always do right by our people. One who will help President Trump Make Agriculture Great Again. That leader is fifth-generation Pee Dee farmer Cody Simpson, and I am calling on Cody to step up and answer the call to serve as South Carolina’s next Commissioner of Agriculture.
President Trump appointed Cody to lead the South Carolina Farm Service Agency. Before that, he served as my agriculture advisor. Cody Simpson has the experience needed and, just as importantly, has the knowledge and understanding of the challenges our rural families face. Because he has lived them. If he runs, he will do so with my full endorsement and support.
Since taking office, we’ve raised the minimum starting teacher salary by nearly $20,000 — now higher than both Georgia and North Carolina. This year, I’m calling for another raise to ensure South Carolina teachers continue to earn more than the Southeastern average.
McMaster's final speech to the General Assembly included a fond look back at his accomplishments of the last decade...
...and also a few wish list items for the final year of his record-setting tenure leading SC.

Over the last several years, South Carolina has made tremendous progress improving our roadways, with major projects underway in every corner of the state. But our population is skyrocketing, and inflation is driving up construction costs and creating delays. That’s why I am recommending the General Assembly appropriate an additional $1.1 billion in new state funding to keep road projects moving and on schedule.
For years, the USS Yorktown sat full of toxic waste that risked spilling into Charleston Harbor as the ship’s hull continued to corrode, but no more.
Today, we announced the completion of a project that removed more than 1.6 million gallons of toxic waste from the Yorktown, preventing disaster and protecting the Lowcountry.

This week, we announced the largest conservation easement in state history, permanently protecting 62,000 acres of forested land in the Pee Dee. That’s three times the size of Hilton Head. As more people move here, we’ll continue working to preserve as much land as possible to protect South Carolina’s character and culture.
With federal SNAP benefits being halted on Nov. 1 due to the federal government shutdown, I have activated the Central Carolina Community Foundation’s One SC Fund charity and directed the SC State Guard to assist food banks statewide to ensure these sites remain safe and orderly as demand increases. SLED Chief Mark Keel has announced that at this point in the investigation there is no evidence the horrific fire at Judge Goodstein’s Edisto home was intentionally set. I echo Chief Keel’s call for everyone to exercise good judgment and avoid sharing unverified information while the investigation continues.
FCC Chair Brendan Carr says his agency is taking the next step to allow state prisons to jam inmates' cellphone signals.
I've written for years about inmate phones, which officials call prisons' #1 threat, leading to riots, shootings & other crimes.
