@TheStingisBack@MuseZack I’m a Carpenter fan, but he comes across as really grumpy these days. I used to want to meet him. Now, I’m not so sure I’d want to. He got really bitter somewhere along the line, based on interviews I read with him.
@Demo4fhs Back in the 80s, my boss didn’t believe I was sick and needed to go home, when I said I felt really bad. He told me to tough it out. Involuntarily, I threw up all over his desk. Suddenly, he decided maybe it would be a good idea for me to go home sick afterall. Wise choice.
@JohnGudmann I saw it twice on opening day in 2005. I thought it was great. Extremely faithful to the book in more ways than I expected. The sequence where the tripods first appear is one I’ll sit and watch anytime it’s on. It’s not perfect but it’s as good as the 1953 film IMHO.
@FoaRyan@VHSDVDBLURAY4K True…also local retailers lock items in a case and you have to find someone to get it for you to even be able to go to the checkout a buy it. Amazon saves time as well as money.
