@TUIUK our bag was lost coming off the flight at Gatwick. Lost luggage had noone and no instructions. Told to contact airline by porters. Info on your site says tell @Gatwick_Airport. Their website says to use lost property website. Tui not an option on there. Any suggestions?
@IcelandFoods I wouldn't normally complain, But Winton was closed a full 15 minutes early today, no sign. Light off. Bit annoying given it was a specific trip and you're normally so good.
We’ll do more than encourage them, we will enable them to get to shops, schools and workplaces under their own steam, by providing high quality, safe joined up routes . Looking forward to it.
I was told by Tory MPs, at the height of the Rashford row, that members of the govt were threatening to withhold money from schools in their (deprived) constituencies if they voted to extend free school meals. These practices aren’t new but Will Wragg has shone a light on them.
Cheapening food is an excellent way to concentrate wealth and power in fewer hands
Why?
Because we are more than ‘consumers’ - cheap food systems reduce most people to de-skilled low wage jobs in corporate food/logistics systems - and destroys many of the jobs they once had
@LikeEngineer @Bournemouthecho Mild inconvenience to drivers seems now to be a huge issue, regardless of the reasons, children, wheelchairs, pushchairs. That before we get to bikes and e-scooters. A massive societal shift is desperately needed. It looks like it will be slow going though.
@LikeEngineer @Bournemouthecho Also, wasn't cycling in Amsterdam also a conscious policy decision in the 70's after they realised being dominated by cars and road weren't really that great.
@ajjolley @SpotInTheMiddle To clarify it's not the school, it's Chartwells making the changes from necessity. Universities have barely started either, that creates many more households as well as huge numbers eating out. The supply chain has been on the edge all summer.
@ajjolley @SpotInTheMiddle My kids school (Moordown St Johns) in BCP have made two menu changes this week at short notice. Supplied by Chartwells, cited supplier issue. (Fairly sure it's Brakes)
@ajjolley Schools restarting always has a significant impact on commercial supply chain too with Brakes etc supplying to schools/chartwells. The whole catering/hospitality sector is likely going to be in chaos as a result.
@GNev2 We live in a world where millionaires with names like "Lord Digby Jones" and "Jacob Rees-Mogg" have somehow convinced poor people that immigrants are taking their money.
It's absolutely fucking insane.
@davefev @LikeEngineer I went through on a bike at 3:30, however there was no presence stopping anyone, so a lot of cars were just going round and joining the queue of traffic to go to the roundabout and back, Mostly half in the cycle lane, and lots of parking on the pavement.
Important data and findings by @cep_lse on early kick-offs, alcohol, and domestic violence. We argued back in 2011 that early kick-offs may be counter-productive to public order in same-city derbies. Good to see many forces moving away from them.

@MartinSLewis Star system is a KPI. If their overall rating is above 4 stars, any rating of 4 reduces the overall score. Also the more scores you get the harder to move overall rating. Unless weighted by time. The whole 5 star system is inherently flawed unless used as part of wider feedback.
FACTS ABOUT HOSPITALITY ‘SUPPORT’
FURLOUGH
Wonderful initiative for hospitality staff BUT employers have to pay employers NI & pension contributions. If your business has been ordered to close you have no revenue so this is a cost to your business not a benefit.
