@RealJakeBroe Jake, it's great you're back.
An oligarch flunky tells the Russian public get prepared for a few decades of war, but he'll be in his Italian villa long before that. Maybe by summer.
To: Chief Stewart Phillip and wife Joan: While citizens obsess about what MLAs are saying in the legislature, the people of British Columbia carry on doing our unstoppable best. Emphasis on unstoppable. You should take heed. This is your future:
1. Your influence has peaked and is now on the decline.
2. You will no long have influence or control over any political party in BC.
3. DRIPA is on death row. It will be terminated in full.
4. UNDRIP will be extricated from entanglement in Canadian affairs. Bank on it.
5. You will become equal partners in the future of British Columbia, along with the 6 million others.
6. There are more of us than you.
7. You will be expected to work for any money you recieve, like the rest of us.
8. The Canadian Indian Act will be terminated.
9. There will be a full forensic accounting of the multiple billions of dollars handed to indigenous groups in the past 5 decades.
10. No one will represent you other than your own elected band leaders and councils. There will be no more NGO's or foreign funded organizations having input.
I do hope that Joan has a full recovery from her health issues. And, finally, welcome to the human race.
I cannot articulate my disgust over the fact that this horribly traumatised Canadian family cannot “qualify” for victim services, and are now bouncing between sleeping in the back of their car and couch surfing at the hospital. All while “asylum seekers” receive benefits Canadians don’t see at the best of times. Priorities!
@BarryESharp Treaties need to be extinguished, repeal UNDRIP-DRIPA/Section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982, because such race based laws undermine democracy.
A collective of more than 90 disability rights and mental health organizations are calling on the federal government to take medical assistance in dying specifically for mental illness “off the table”

Today marks the 37th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, when the Communist regime sent tanks to trample peaceful pro-democracy protesters. Their bravery will not be forgotten, including the man who stopped a column of tanks.
“Since that June day, I have been inspired by one of the most iconic figures of the latter half of the 20th century, even though I have no idea of his name. Like the rest of the world, I just call him Tank Man.” @yangjianli001
@nationalpost The tyranny of the oppressive violent feudal Crown rez has a toehold in Ottawa.
Autocratic rez chiefs don't put freedom of speech and democracy first. Rentiers are like that.
@KarlDHarrison Nor are they a nation. One wonders why these small groups of people have been so built up. It was part of the task of government sponsored reconciliation to do so. Were Canadians asked about this? No.
Crown Indigenous Relations doesn't need public input on treaties, 4eg.
BREAKING: Carney blows through his deficit numbers again, says his Parliamentary Budget Officer today.
He’s on track to add $23 billion more to the deficit than he projected a month ago in his spring update.
No wonder Canada is the only G20 country in recession. He’s the banker who can’t budget.
This is effectively extortion.
The City of Kamloops allows you to use one of their facilities and then right at the deadline to change the agreement they demand $7700 for “safety” reasons.
The RCMP has no reports of any safety concerns about the event, and the city of Kamloops has not been able to provide us any evidence that would indicate their being an issue.
In fact, the only thing that has come out that would threaten to disturb the event is the City of Kamloops itself putting out a condemnation of our event and party, libelling and vilifying us, right before of course asking us for $7700.
Of course, even they knew that that looked bad so they deleted it later, but we have saved copies.
@DomenicCinalli Sharma, "According to government data, certain groups make less ..." pretty normal. Can't find gross injustices here.
It's a solution in search of a problem.
