@proftarantola also... That moment when you truly realize that, if you're an "original music artist" for a living these days, you are basically a traveling pop-up t-shirt store for a living
@proftarantola#edt501 Thanks for your suggestion about music biz infographic projects-- I'm thinking it's about time I truly did a deep dive on the messy income streams of music writing/publishing/streaming/etc.
"...such continuous communication allows [for] reciprocal learning sessions. In other words, they can actively utilize the feedback and build on original ideas, thus potentially produce deeper
thinking" (Tang and Hew, 2017). Def have felt this from #twitterverse#edt501
@PavonZucconi A really interesting part of education rn. Somewhat like the Pessimist's Archive podcast, I wonder... if Zoom-style education were to persist for a couple more years, would you start to see new generations of young learners who are naturally more comfortable with cameras? #edt501
@heyfeifer@PessimistsArc Most definitely will! If you do in fact end up going down that
"lost skills" rabbit hole, you might have fun with Asimov's "The Feeling of Power" from 1958 (https://t.co/X22qgTvw0X for a synopsis, and direct link to the short story)

Interesting video from #ThomasFrank, whose content on learning and productivity I've followed over the years. I wonder what Jason Feifer of @PessimistsArc would have to say about TF's concern regarding "mental laziness" induced by the internet #edt501
@Samanth96915872 Yup! Definitley agree. Said something similar on VT, but I essentially see the media analysis project as an exercise in getting "hands on" with uncovering truths through various lenses of bias #edt501#mediabias
@NickBrownEdTech This is really going to make for a great project, given how all of the components unique to this particular election process have made for an election night/week that is unprecedentedly volatile or "back and forth." Really interested to see your findings #edt501#ElectionNight
well said @PavonZucconi -- this is, to me, among the most important parts of helping new generations develop digital literacy. The permanency of it all needs to be taken with great personal responsibility and consideration #socialmedia#edt501
...They are much more likely to be experienced over time, as new audiences read the messages in a new light" (Boyd (2014) Identity: Why do teens seem strange online?, p. 33).

Once it's posted to the Internet, it's forever!
A modern masterpiece from @billwurtz. I didn't know the term #explainervideo back when I used to watch this a lot. I feel like some may say its entertainment factor and "weirdness" detract from its educational value. Jury is still out for me, haha

@proftarantola#christophernolan#edt501 lol, anyways
What I like about some of the later steps in this one is the way in which it draws distinction between the visual components, in a way I felt like I was trying to get at last week. Data Visualization vs. Design/Structure vs. Style
@AU_Edtech I know that I sometimes see them with extra descriptive words, or just small descriptions next to each, and that starts to feel more "infographic"-ish
This one feels more definitively like an infographic, not sure if I'm prone to feel that way when I see icons/clipart though:
@AU_Edtech do you think a visual model like Bloom's Taxonomy could technically be considered an infographic? Or would you say it isn't, because it needs additional knowledge/info (or to be explained by someone) to really be understood?
