The trigger is a cluster of storms rolling out of Iowa before sunrise that's expected to push southeast into a very unstable atmosphere, with gusts over 75 mph possible if that cluster stays organized. A second round of damaging wind could fire up again into Kentucky and West Virginia by evening.
