Two recent ice core studies have shed some light on two important climate transitions that occurred over the past 3 million years. Of course, climate change deniers have misinterpreted both :P

The person who used an LLM to write a tweet about Thwaites Glacier, complete with hallucinated references, has been appointed the top dog of US climate science by the Trump administration.
I have a theory for why I couldn't find a single publication on this list. @MatthewWielicki, a self-proclaimed "earth science expert," used ChatGPT to write the entire tweet for him. He did not verify the sources before tweeting. That, or he completely made everything up.
@MatthewWielicki has admitted to using ChatGPT, and admitted to failing to verify the sources before posting. Now he's making himself the victim, and is using this situation to further manipulate his followers and subscribers.

A climate scientist blocked me for posting peer-reviewed citations under his misinformation.
This week he was put in charge of the National Climate Assessment.
The block button was never about being wrong. It was about not wanting the record corrected. Now he controls the record.
@curryja A dumb coward with a loud mouth grabbing power by sucking the shriveled dick of Donald Trump is hardly good news.
I hope other scientists will join me in refusing to recognize his authority.
