Big losses on the equity and debt side of this pie. Office space can’t be easily converted to residential due to lack of interior spaces having little or no access to natural light. We have to see if any creative options come out of this, but in the meantime oversupply will continue to lead to large markdowns and losses. Even if interest rates go down too many office workers want to be able to work from home a few days a week, not to mention AI reducing workforce in many industries that use office space.
