Some quick market thoughts and ramblings:

Defi + RWA mid caps stood out to me today.. Things like $SYN and $TOKEN looking strong off backtests.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but have a nagging feeling @SynapseProtocol gets rerated somewhere soon. Former cucked coin, gud tech, and gud tokenomics.

Saw some commentary relating normie appeal of $XRP is due to its "seriousness" and can see a correlation of that to RWA.

#VIRTUALS with a very decisive move hitting close to 2B. There's clear mindshare and dominance here, especially with $AIXBT leading the charge and other utility alpha agents all in its eco.

I like @TopHat_One and others too, but @virtuals_io's current dominance feels like OpenSea in '20/21.

Meanwhile, $TAO with a strong move today gapping up sector with "older" AI-related plays moving. There's some gold if you dig into AI plays from 2023 (low and mid) that could be perceived as "value" plays with an early mover's advantage.

The chart below is $WIF... Surprised at the disdain for it given how dominant it was in Q4 2023. Post-Coinbase and Robinhood listing and having had a strong backtest, I think this surprises a lot of people soon.

@WazzCrypto published a great tweet today reasoning that "muscle memory" will make everyone rush in again due to attention economy,

I suspect @dogwifcoin gaining momentum can signal a broader shift back to other major memes whilst AI agents can cool off and chopsolidate.

So with WIF.. Slowly, then all at once, IMO.

Even with liquidity expansion, there's a reason to think it goes memes > AI > boomer coins > memes > AI > DeFi > memes > AI > memes this cycle if the current state is any indication, but we keep paying attention to BTC.D, ETHBTC, OTHERS and TOTAL to get a good barometer on the flows to alts.

Not sure if these are helpful at all, just some general ramblings not big enough to constitute separate tweets.

We must put individual interests aside for the broader community in this moment.

ETHEREUM

So many dumb takes on the timeline. Especially the Solana vs Ethereum debate is tiresome. You can hold both, you know. They serve different purposes.

These are the Ethereum ETF flows. Let me spell things out for you.

Ethereum through the eyes of tradfi:
⭐ Undisputed #2 crypto-currency
⭐ More reflexive asset than BTC but decent liq
⭐ ETH successfully securing the biggest network
⭐ Battletested for 10 years
⭐ Flawless execution of big upgrades (e.g. Merge)
⭐ Deflationary tokenomics with built-in APY

They don't give a fuck about the specific technicalities of aping on the chain.

At some point, the overhang of these short time frame events is going to be over. ETHE is not infinite, Jump holdings are not infinite.

What is infinite however, is the amount of money printed which does not generally find their way to Solana degens, but to wealthy people and institutions.

Day after day, month after month, a portion of people will be buying $BTC or $ETH by allocating a % of their 401k to these assets.

Solana however, is not shit. It has its usecase. It's retails favourite, especially in a generally dry liquidity situation.

Solana will do well, but it does not have the tailwind of ETH in the long run. Blackrock's CIO literally said: “We really look at the investability – what meets the criteria, what meets the bar to be delivered in an ETF.”. Next to that, she indicates they listen to their customers and their demand. So, for Solana we chalk up:

💡 Huge retail demand
💡 Supply overhang FTX postponed (locked $SOL)
💡 Big investors bought locked $SOL OTC
💡 15% inflation/year
💡 Not as attractive an asset as BTC/ETH for tradfi
💡 No BlackRock ETF soon

Solana has the tailwind on the short term, due to the postponed supply overhang that Ethereum has (ETHE, Jump, Mt. Gox) but what do you think happens when that overhang is cleared?

Steady inflows, low inflation, existing good infrastructure.

I hear people say; there's no volume on Ethereum. Indeed, but what do you think happens when Ethereum rises in price?

Volume follows price, it's a reinforcing loop. When ETH regains bullish momentum, I can't see a situation where Ethereum as a chain doesn't come back in full force.

FYI: I hold big positions in both SOL and ETH.
