This week we lost a great friend and fellow football coach Phil Moss. Phil was one of my greatest mentors and had an incredible passion for Panther Football, even after his 33 year career at WCHS. He meant so much to a lot of people. Rest easy Coach
Amen. “Prisoner-of-the-moment” takes that change each day with each game as if professional playoff athletics are ever linear. They want things to be both compelling yet status quo. Sports viewing much better before “experts” tried to tell us what our options should be.
Quick timeline of the takes surrounding Lakers-Rockets, with a prediction on tomorrow’s.
April 17th: “The Lakers have NO chance. They’ll be lucky not to be swept.”
April 20th: “If LeBron pulls this off I’ll call him the GOAT.”
April 22nd: “The Rockets are frauds!”
April 25th: “The Rockets are the dumbest team I’ve ever seen! Anyone would beat them!”
April 30th: “The Lakers are cooked & LeBron is exhausted. Rockets in 7.”
May 1st: “LeBron is going to blow a 3-0 lead & his GOAT case is over!”
May 2nd: “Yeah, the Lakers won, but it’s actually not that impressive, the Rockets were pretenders.”
Proud to announce our Varsity Boys' Basketball team was honored by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) as Academic-All State! Our team had a collective 3.54 grade point average. Great job boys! #SHSDawgs#CommittmentToExcellence
@KevinOConnor I’m blown away that you think Scheyer pointing had anything to do with Boozer being undisciplined by catching and dribbling before looking and leaving feet to pass. Coaches don't have joysticks. To say “horrific coaching decision" would imply that he decided for Boozer to do this
A former player and coach for the Boilermakers created a mini Mackey Arena just 10 miles out from Purdue’s campus in West Lafayette. https://t.co/An2oqdRKH2
@CoachAWeb If Santa Clara was playing at Streator they would have been down 3 possessions with 30 seconds to go when said timeout was called before they even took the ball out of bounds 🤷
The ballot is ABSOLUTELY STACKED for @MyWebTimes Athlete of the Week, voting running til noon Wednesday. Only one can win ...

Definitely felt old coaching last night for the first time. Miles is already a stud as a Soph for Seneca. Future is bright for him. Just a great kid and heck of a player. #ProudUncle
