Bedminster Down Sch

Proud to provide an education for 11-16 year olds in south Bristol. Rated 'good' - Ofsted. We have a balanced curriculum, great teaching and high expectations.

Following a plumbing emergency, we had to take the very difficult decision to close Bedminster Down School today. We want our young people to be in school as much as possible, so we never take decisions like this lightly. School will certainly be open as normal again on Tuesday.

We are profoundly grateful for the life and legacy of Her Majesty and we offer His Majesty King Charles III our very best wishes as he becomes our Sovereign.

Great to be out on #challenge24 with such a lively bunch of Year 9 girls from Mr Parson's and Ms Ahmed's Tutor groups. Great to have Mr Parsons from @BdownSchool @Futura_Learning joining us at last.

4 days on from an epic Ten Tors weekend and @Futura_Learning @BdownSchool are back on Dartmoor introducing a whole new cohort of Year 9 pupils to this amazing national park. This week it's the turn of Ms Hodder's girls. #challenge24

True endurance & grit from all. That moto was made for #Dartmoor 🌧

[BDS Outdoor Ed. @BDS_OutdoorED]

Great day training on @DartmoorDevon for @OfficialTenTors with @Futura_Learning @BdownSchool. South Westerly winds with rain and fog made for a testing day all round. Remember, if it's not raining, it's not training 😁

Don't forget, on the 14th of December, the annual West Street Carols with the Salvation Army Band returns outside Mezzaluna.

We've also got our FINAL choir on the 21st at The Steam Crane, 7PM - make sure you head on down for some more Christmas jingles!
