Collaborative Lessons at GHS are my favorite.
Students ripped and crumbled paper towels, stuffed trash bags, and built a snowman.
He's a little lumpy and tilted.
But I like him.
Student, "excuse me, my apples are yucky"
Teacher, "awh bummer, let's sit down and see what else you have for a snack."
Student, "excuse me, can I have chocolate?"
Me, "๐"
Teacher, "Mommy says no"
Student, "excuse me, what do you say?"
I WILL *miss* these moments ๐คฃ
@bjnichols Our senior class painted his gator blue and silver...๐ (We did it at a professional paint shop, not just spray paint)
His reaction will live in my brain for eternity
There are differences between a good superintendent and a great one. Today, I witnessed a great one. On short notice, Dr. Nichols cleared his schedule to step in as a parent for 1 of our students. Even bought treats for Paul to pass out.@GWESwildcats

My husband says the day we met he walked away from me and said to himself, "I'm going to marry her one day." (Now I, on the other hand, *may* have taken a *little* more convincing ๐ it tracks)
What a beautiful life we have, P โค๏ธ
For 309 days I've worked out before work or before our Saturday activities began.
This morning, the power was out at our gym... So I waited until after work.
It's hard to show up for yourself after you've been skipping and galloping through Kindergarten PE classes
It's hard to show up for yourself when you've shown up all day for other people and other people's kids..
But the best version of me is continuously worth waiting for and hard to show up for, but it's worth it every time.
@CSwansonAP I love for these memories. What a blessing you all are to those of us who get even just a snap shot into your lives! BUT I am feeling extra blessed that you share that little nugget with me, and let me love him.
