My marriage is apparently ending because I refused to hand over my daughter’s flight school money for cryptocurrency.

I remarried a few years after my first husband passed away. Before he died, we had been putting money aside for our daughter so she could go to pilot school one day. She’s 19 now and finally about to start. It’s something we planned for years.

Last week my current husband sat me down and said he needed $13,000 from the savings account because he found some cryptocurrency trading strategy that’s supposedly guaranteed to double the money in a week. He was completely serious. Talking fast, showing charts on his phone, acting like he had personally solved the financial system.
