The WNBA is no longer a professional organization of elite athletes. Commingled among the players are violent recidivist criminals who intentionally target select players and inflict serious physical harm. The organization turns a blind eye and fails to hold players accountable. A one-day suspension for what appears to be possible criminal conduct resulting in serious injury highlights the organization's incompetence. MMA fighters receive greater protection than WNBA athletes. It is only a matter of time before a player suffers permanent injury or worse.
