In his 51-year tenure as Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Bashiruddin Mahmud Ahmad r.a., translated the Quran into Urdu with a brief commentary (Tafsir-e-Saghir) and wrote a detailed exegesis (Tafsir-e-Kabir) that spans over ten volumes.
