I had the property tax cap bill in session this year. With @BeaconTN’s strong support, we were able to pass the bill out of the House subcommittee. Unfortunately, it did not pass out of the Senate committee.
I plan to run the bill again in 27.
Please let your State Rep. and State Senator know how important it is that TN has a property tax cap!!
🚨 The TN Emergency Communications Board is considering ANOTHER 911 surcharge hike—just years after the last one.
We respectfully ask the Board to defer any recommendation on increasing the surcharge rate at this time.
The public hearing is today. You can comment, too: https://t.co/QdcpaK7rOD

Tennessee families came together to educate their kids. Local government tried to shut them down. A judge used the 2025 Learning Pod Protection Act to side with the families.
The law worked. Education freedom — defended! Thank you @SenJohnson and Rep. William Slater.
Today, @GovBillLee signed into law a significant expansion of the Education Freedom Scholarships program. We thank him for his commitment to educational freedom!
Now 35,000 students will have access to this program for the upcoming school year.

Thank you @GovBillLee for vetoing SJR 48, a 24% increase in cell phone fees, pushed through before a study was conducted to determine the need.
Millions of Tennesseans just dodged an unwarranted tax on everyday communication.

We want to thank @SenBoWatson and @JasonZacharyTN for your dedicated efforts this session to put a stop to unlimited local property tax increases.
While we couldn’t get it done this year, the need for reform remains urgent. Tennesseans are being priced out of their own homes because the current system places no meaningful cap on how much local governments can raise property taxes.
Stories like this one are exactly why the fight continues. https://t.co/H9fI2xxrTT
Legislators repealed harmful certificate-of-need laws this session, which will expand quality healthcare!
These laws that require government permission to add new healthcare services have cost Tennesseans access to $700 million in new healthcare investments.
Thank you especially to @SenBoWatson and @JohnnyGarrett for sponsoring this bill and to the TN House and Senate!
This session, legislators eliminated the onerous testing mandate on the Education Savings Account program. Now, ESA students can take either the state test or the same national standardized test that their peers take.
Thank you to the sponsors of this bill, @SenJohnson and Chairman William Slater as well as the TN House and Senate!
This session, Gov. Lee proposed a significant expansion of the Education Freedom Scholarships program. Legislators expanded the program to 35,000 students for the upcoming school year.

We'd like to thank the TN House and Senate as well as @GovBillLee, @CSexton25, @SenJohnson, and @WilliamLamberth for their support!
Thanks to the hard work led by our friends at Americans for Prosperity, any state regulation that costs $1 million to individuals or businesses over a five year period will now have to be voted on by our elected representatives rather than imposed by unelected bureaucrats.
We thank our coalition partners at the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce, Farm Bureau, and NFIB for securing the Regulatory Freedom Act!
Thank you to our sponsors @SenJohnson, @jadamlowe, @ClarkBoydTN, and the TN House and Senate!

As legislators wrap up their work for this session, we are proud of the pro-freedom agenda we were able to advance!
✅ Expanded school choice
✅ Passed the Regulatory Freedom Act
✅ Secured certificate-of-need reform
Tennesseans' lives will be better as a result.
We thank Gov. Lee, legislative leadership, our bill sponsors, the legislators who voted in support of our agenda, and all of our coalition partners who stood with us to make Tennessee a better place.
Tennessee’s school choice programs should empower families to pick a different education that best meets their needs. But by requiring participating students to take the TCAP, the same test public school students take, the ESA program did not truly give students and families educational freedom.
Thank you to Leader Jack Johnson (@SenJohnson) and Chairman William Slater for sponsoring SB1958/HB1881, which will allow ESA students to take the same test as their private school peers if they choose.
This bill ensures parents and families truly receive the educational freedom they deserve.
As the legislative session wraps up, we are encouraged that SB 2199, the Regulatory Freedom Act, is on its way to the Governor!
Thank you to Leader @SenJohnson and @jadamlowe for leading the charge to rein in the unchecked power of the administrative state.
With only a few days in the session left, we're eager to thank @SenBoWatson for getting SB 1369, which reforms certificate-of-need laws, across the finish line. This bill has passed and is now on it's way to the Governor! 🎉
We are grateful to all the legislators who stood up for expanded healthcare options for all Tennesseans!
SB 2264 has passed out of the Senate! Thank you to @jadamlowe and the Tennessee Senate for standing for transparency and reforming taxpayer-funded lobbying practices.
Today, the legislature passed a significant expansion of the Education Freedom Scholarship Program.
Thank you to those who voted in favor, especially @CSexton25@WilliamLamberth@SenJohnson and @GovBillLee !
