The Icon of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world holds 5,610 in hotel luxury.
The Bibby Stockholm holds 200.
They both cost £1.6bn, one to buy, the other to rent for 2 years.
The corruption and grift is insane.
Horrific as Hamas’s atrocities on Oct 7 were, they do not justify the mass killing of civilians, the mass destruction of property, infrastructure and the conditions of life, and the rendering of much of Gaza uninhabitable. No complex issue was ever resolved with 2,000lb bombs.
Last night, for the first time in over 20 years, I was on #bbcqt. Someone dropped out the day before and they urgently needed to fill the seat. Though I was losing my voice, I wasn't going to wait another 20 years. You can watch the programme here:

George Monbiot: “These sympathetic things Starmer said about Thatcher were not an attempt to appeal to the electorate. They were an attempt to appeal to Murdoch & Lord Rothermere & these are the real powers in this country. And it’s a profoundly undemocratic situation”

So who should we believe? On one side Rishi Sunak says he and Boris Johnson “took advice from scientific advisers”. On the other side are the scientific advisers who all say they weren’t asked for advice. Who is telling the truth? Sunak or the scientists? #CovidInquiry
Here's another for you @SuellaBraverman. 18 year old boy from Enfield. His Mum dies and he has no family. He ends up homeless living in a shed. He gets my contact details and I help him. I put him in the Travelodge on the A10 for 2 weeks until I can find him a room in a housing association. I knew the staff so this was possible. He was scared, cold, wet, and starving when I picked him up. He cried for hours. Anyhow we looked after him and now he's doing a degree in engineering. It was not a lifestyle choice for him. And I'm sure he'd be more than happy to educate you on this.
@simonharris_mbd They will still sell loads of unnecessary Christmas related stuff, that will overstretch many households, whilst these affluent and beautiful caricatures can happily afford to cut straight to the inevitable - it all goes in the bin. #buyless#wasteless#reuse#reduce#recycle
Nadhim Zahawi, the new and (I imagine) short-lived Chancellor, was paid £1,300,000 for a second job at an oil company whilst still being paid his MP salary.
So just like with Rishi Sunak, we again have a super-rich Chancellor who will be on the side of the super-rich.
Suggestions on who could possibly replace the PM - Four chipper stoats and a can of Red Bull, a reasonably engaged Shetland Pony, a set of Occasional Tables, Sven-Goran Ericksson, 1 x Tortilla Bowl with extra guacamole + 1 Pepsi Max, assorted lengths of coarse twill etc etc
